MIDLAND - Quarterback Ryan Rowland notched two touchdowns to help Midland High gain a 21-14 victory over Irving Nimitz Friday night in the football season opener for both teams.

The Bulldogs gave up 209 yards rushing, but Rowland was on target with his passing, connecting on 16 of 18 attempts for 130 yards with no interceptions.
