Thursday, October 29, 1998 Area Business Notes ANSON - Tom Isbell, Jones County tax assessor-collector, has
been named an outstanding community leader in the American Hometown
Leaders Award Program sponsored by the National Center for Small
Communities and the Wal-Mart Foundation. In recognition of his contributions to the community, Isbell
received an economic community development grant of $5,000 from
the Wal-Mart Foundation. He said the grant money will be used
to develop the new May's Botanical Park near the library. Isbell has been active in the Anson Chamber of Commerce, Anson
Public Library, Anson Lions Club and Industrial Development Corporation. NEW PRINTING BUSINESS IN EASTLAND Neon Indian Printing at 606 W. Main Street and owned by Lisa

of its new location at 2202 W. Washington. Phone number is 968-4828. SWEETWATER - The Sweetwater school district recently completed
an energy conservation project with CSI Control Systems Inernational,
Inc., of Carrollton. The project is designed to save the district in excess of $86,000
a year in electricity and natural gas costs, according to Henry
Vinson, district business manager. Through performance contracting, the $587,554 project is a
lease/purchase with payments made by the energy savings, officials
said. If the annual energy savings are not achieved, CSI will
make up the difference with a check to the district.
