Zachry Associates saluted this morning
By DOUG WILLIAMSON / Business Editor
Zachry Associates will be presented the Small Business Salute
for the quarter this morning at 10.
H.C. Zachry will be presented the award from the Abilene Business
Council, an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce. The
presentation will happen at the business, 709 N. 2nd.
Zachry, a native of Henrietta, moved to Abilene in 1965 to
work with Hallmark Communications. In 1970, he started Zachry
Associates, and in 1972, teamed with Norman Naill in Zachry, Naill
and Associates. For the last 20 years, the company has been Zachry
Associates again.
Two companies are affiliated. Paper Tiger Printing, a commercial
printing operation, and Caswell, Zachry, Grizzard LLC, a Dallas-Atlanta
fund-raising education and marketing services company, work with
Zachry Associates.
Zachry was named Citizen of the Year in 1990, following his
key presentations that helped land a 2,250-bed prison here and
gain Abilene All-America City honors.
