Some Spring Break website fun

By Doug Williamson / Abilene Reporter-News

Here we are in the middle of Spring Break week.

What can the kids do the rest of the week?

How about turning to some of these fun sites on the Internet?

-- If you like to play Hangman, try the online version of the word game at http://www.allmixedup.com/cgi-bin/hangman/hangman. It is pretty hard.

-- Have fun with Tic Tac Toe at http://scv.bu.edu/Games/tictactoe.

-- I sat for hours and played this one -- http://imagiware.com/puzzle/. It's the old sliding pieces of the puzzle around until you get it right game.

-- Some fun word puzzles reside at http://www.stratfordhall.org/kids/htm. The crosswords and word searches were easy enough for me.

-- Kids love Nickelodeon. The cable network has expanded to an online presence. Call it up at http://www.nick.com.

-- For the younger set, a whopper of a fun site is Billy Bear's Playground at http://www.cass.net/%7Erainiew/. You've got to see it to believe it. Games, stories, music, coloring pages, everything.

-- Neuroscience for Kids, yes, that's the site's name. The University of Washington website explores our body's nervous system. It has plenty of experiments and activities at http://weber.u.washington.edu/~chudler/neurok.html.

-- How can you top all these fun sites? How about visiting the M&M homepage at http://www.m-ms.com/redirect.html?
