Raytheon Co. said it expects to receive a $1.1 billion order before the end of the year for work on the Patriot Air Defense System, including six batteries. The Lexington, Mass.-based company said it also anticipates receiving two additional Patriot contracts before the end of the year, both from the U.S. Army.

One contract, valued at $65 million, is for radar enhancement and classification. The second contract, which could be worth $62 million, is for the Remote Launch/Communications Enhancement upgrade program.
