Cowboys preseason schedule change
IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have changed their
1998 preseason schedule to avoid conflict with Pro Football Hall
of Fame activities.
The Cowboys announced Tuesday they've scheduled their exhibition
opener against the Se- attle Seahawks for Saturday, Aug. 1, instead
of Friday, July 31.
Kickoff will remain at 8 p.m. at Texas Stadium.
Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay meet in the Hall's annual AFC-NFC
exhibition game the evening of Aug. 1 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton,
Ohio.
"The league didn't and we didn't want to have a game
on the air in conflict with that game," said Cowboys spokesman
Rich Dalrymple.
