Cowboys re-sign Broderick Thomas to one-year deal

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed free agent defensive end Broderick Thomas to a one-year contract. Terms were not released.

Thomas led the Cowboys last season with 10 quarterback pressures. He also had 3-1/2 sacks and 31 tackles in a backup role.

The 1989 first-round draft pick was originally signed by Dallas in 1996 after his release by Minnesota. He re-signed with the Cowboys last March.

Thomas has 47-1/2 career sacks and more than 700 career tackles. He has played in all 146 games of his career with Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Detroit and Dallas.
