Kathryn Williams Daniels
Kathryn Williams Daniels, 71, food service worker at the Abilene
State School for 15 years, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at noon Tuesday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home
Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Jerry Jordan officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daniels was born in Stamford and moved to Abilene in 1945.
She was a volunteer at Christ House. She taught Sunday school
for eight years and was a member of Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include three sons, LaRond Daniels and Wayne Williams,
both of Dallas, and Stefan Daniels of Abilene; one sister, LaVade
Garrett of Floydada; four grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Memorials may be sent to United Negro College Fund.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Dorothy Nell Williams Gafford Jones
Dorothy Nell Williams Gafford Jones, 81, formerly of Abilene,
died Friday in an Austin hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Gerald Gafford officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jones was born in Brady in McCulloch County and graduated
from Lohn High School. She was a homemaker and moved to Abilene
in 1960 from Lohn. She worked for Drs. J.A. Wolfe and R.D. Holder
in Abilene. She was a former member of 16th and Vine Church of
Christ in Abilene and was the widow of J.P. Gafford and Oscar
B. Jones.
Survivors include three sons, Kent Gafford of Polson, Mont.,
and Gerald Gafford and Jeff Sralla, both of Austin; eight grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.
R.E. 'Rooster' Wilburn
R.E. "Rooster" Wilburn, 79, died Friday in a local
nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel,
5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Wilburn was born in Merkel, where he lived for many years.
He worked in the oil industry for 29 years until retiring and
moved to Abilene in 1989 from Merkel. He was a member of Merkel
First Baptist Church and was the widower of Lenora Wilburn, whom
he married in 1938 in Merkel.
Survivors include six sons, Jerry Don Wilburn of Abilene, Gary
Ralph Wilburn of Merkel, Eddie Wilburn of Burnet, Waymon Wilburn
of Highland Beach, Fla., Howard Mac Wilburn of Arlington and Glen
Wilburn of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Dana Wilburn of Dallas;
15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Dora Fambrough
Dora Fambrough, 94, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Cliff Phillips
and Manuel Reyna officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery
in Eastland County.
Mrs. Fambrough was born in Scranton in Eastland County and
graduated from Cisco High School. She attended Hardin-Simmons
University and worked for Hollywood Vassarette in Eastland for
22 years until retiring. She was a homemaker and moved to Tye
in 1982 and Abilene in 1997. She was a member of Home Demonstration
Club, Tye Senior Citizens Center, American Association of Retired
Persons and Countryside Baptist Church in Merkel and was the widow
of Dave Fambrough, whom she married in 1927 in Cisco.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Fambrough of Sweetwater and
Rudy Fambrough of Abilene; one sister, Faye Matthews of Abilene;
seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-5:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Bryan Rupprecht
CANADIAN - Bryan Rupprecht, 21, brother of an Abilene resident,
died Thursday in Canadian.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in First Christian Church
with Dr. Lewis Holland and the Rev. David Marak officiating. Burial
will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, directed by Stickley-Hill
Funeral Directors.
Mr. Rupprecht was born in Graham and moved to the Canadian
area in 1981. He graduated from Canadian High School and was a
junior at Texas Tech University. He was a member of First United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Benny and Connie Rupprecht of
Canadian; one sister, Amber Rupprecht of Canadian and Abilene
Christian University; and his grandmother, Mary Kathern Ellenwood
of Austin.

H.A. 'Bud' Porter
STEPHENVILLE - H.A. "Bud" Porter, 90, formerly of
Big Spring, died Thursday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Graveside services were held Saturday in Mount Olive Memorial
Park in Big Spring with the Rev. Monroe Teeters officiating, directed
by Myers & Smith Funeral Home of Big Spring.
Mr. Porter was born in Grit and moved to Howard County in 1949
from Mason County. He worked for Howard County in the road department
for many years and was a farmer. He was a member of Coahoma First
Baptist Church and was the widower of Myrtle Bishop Porter, whom
he married in Mason County.
Survivors include four daughters, Irene Thurman of San Antonio,
Wanda Davis of Junction, Annette Miller of Big Spring and Kay
Fraser of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Clem Ball Jr.
KNOX CITY - Clem Ball Jr., 73, died Saturday in a local hospital.
The body will be cremated and no services are planned. Arrangements
are being made by Smith Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ball of Knox City; one son,
Clem Ball III of Plainview; and one grandchild.
Iva Bea McNutt
COLEMAN - Iva Bea McNutt, 89, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel
with the Revs. Gary Boyd and Hamp Linehan officiating. Burial
will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. McNutt was born in Sidney and graduated from Blanket High
School. She attended business college and was a homemaker. She
lived in Comanche and for many years in Fort Worth before moving
to Coleman in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church and
was the widow of A.F. McNutt, whom she married in 1929 in Comanche.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Rhone of Coleman; four
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Glenda Faye Russell
BLANKET - Glenda Faye Russell, 53, died Friday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenleaf Cemetery
in Brownwood with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating, directed by
Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mrs. Russell was born in Cross Plains and lived in Brown County
for many years. She attended school in Brownwood and married Raymond
Edwin Russell in 1989 in Granbury. She worked as a nurse's aide
and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, of Blanket; one son, Donald
Kite of Sweetwater; her mother, Alta Beatrice Gaines of Granbury;
two brothers, Ronnie Lee Barrington and Myrle Gene Barrington,
both of Granbury; two grandchildren; and three aunts.
Beryl Lusk
CISCO - Beryl M. Lusk, 81, formerly of Cross Plains, died Friday
in a Big Spring hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Higginbotham Funeral Home
Chapel in Cross Plains with Joe Coppinger officiating. Burial
will be in Cross Plains Cemetery.
Mr. Lusk was born in Sabanno and married Ruth Gary in 1940
in Cross Plains. He served with the U.S. Navy and was a farmer.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 627 and was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife of Cisco; two sons, Emory Lusk of
Mansfield and Beryl Michael Lusk of Austin; one daughter, Sandra
Moore of Cross Plains; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Cleaven Gray
Cleaven Gray, 82, died Saturday in a local hospital. Services
are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Fanny Bailey Henderson
Fanny C. Bailey Henderson, 98, died Saturday in a local retirement
center. Services are pending with Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home,
1443 N. 2nd.
Billy Ward Sr.
Billy E. Ward Sr., 51, died Saturday in Abilene. Services are
pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.

STEPHENVILLE - Willie Dee Ross, 81, died Saturday in a Tyler

HAMLIN - A.L. Gamble, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital.

SWEETWATER - The Rev. William F. Slusher Jr., 67, died Saturday
in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in

BIG SPRING - Nona Miller Seiler, 42, died Thursday at her home.

SWEETWATER - Marjorie Lee Thompson, 67, formerly of Bolivar,
Mo., died Friday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday
