Mary Francis Kincheloe
Mary Francis Kincheloe, 66, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Heritage Baptist Church
with the Rev. Mike Schirle officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows
Cemetery, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Kincheloe grew up in Columbia, Mo., and moved to Abilene
in 1952. She worked for KRBC-TV for more than 20 years and the
building inspector's office with the city of Abilene for more
than 10 years until retiring in 1994. She was the widow of John
Edgar, whom she married in 1956 in Abilene. She married James
Kincheloe in 1992 in Abilene and was a member of Abilene Women's
Bowling Association for more than 40 years. She also was a member
of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2012 Ladies Auxiliary, Daughters
of American Revolution and Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; one daughter, Jennifer
Beth Edgar of Spring; one stepson, Mike Kincheloe of Odessa; two
stepdaughters, Lisa Humpheys and Pam Wells, both of Odessa; two
brothers, Bert Mayes of Abilene and John Mayes of Spring; one
sister, Barbara Baker of Dallas; and six step grandchildren.
Zena Fair Gallaway
Zena Fair Gallaway, 93, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Curtis
Cadenhead officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gallaway was born in Black Springs, Ark., and attended
school in Fannin County. She graduated from East Texas State and
Texas Christian universities and started a 42-year school teaching
career in 1926 in Van Zandt County. She also taught in Canton,
Wills Point, Granbury, for 13 years in Brownwood, and at Howard-Payne
College in Brownwood. She received the George Washington Medal
in 1965 from the American Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge,
Pa. She was a life member of both the National Retired and Texas
State teachers associations. She was a volunteer for the American
Red Cross and was a member of 20th Century Club, Delta Kappa Gamma
and St. James United Methodist Church. She was the widow of John
Gallaway, whom she married in 1928 in Riverby.
Survivors include one nephew, Jim Cummins of Odessa.

Eugene Malone
Eugene Malone, 72, equipment operator for Earl M. Bailey Construction
for 36 years until retiring in 1989, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Rev. Robert Graven
officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mr. Malone was born in Carthage and married Bonnie Cline in
1942 in Lamesa. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He moved
to Abilene in 1953 from Lamesa and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Daley Gene
Malone of Abilene; three daughters, Mary Ann Huckelbridge and
Bonnie Joyce Scott, both of Abilene, and Doris Gene Robinson of
Eula; seven sisters, Helen Pennington of Roswell, N.M., Dorothy
Bullard of Lamesa, Josephine Butler of Odessa, Bonnie Sue Young
of Houston, Ruth Wilburn of Andrews, Wanda Louise Rogers of Newmore
and Evelyn Joyce Price of Longview; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be sent to American Heart Association, 149 N.
Willis, Abilene 79603.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Walter David Paige
Walter David Paige, 73, heavy equipment salesman with Plains
Machinery for 17 years until retiring in 1980, died Friday at
his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Paul United Methodist
Church with the Revs. Archie Echols and Bill Libby officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil
Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Paige was born in Temple and graduated from Coleman High
School, McMurry College, now McMurry University, and Hardin-Simmons
University. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater
during World War II and moved to Abilene in 1946 from Coleman.
He married Birdie M. Walker in 1949 in Abilene and taught school
at Buffalo Elementary near Santa Anna for two years and in Abilene
for two years. He was a member of International Order of the Oddfellows
and also the Propheteers Sunday School Class and United Methodist
Men at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; two sons, Jimmy David
Paige of Abilene and John Hammond Paige of Houston; one daughter,
Geneva Ann Paige of Abilene; five grandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.

Jane Guinn Kinard
Jane Guinn Kinard, 82, died Friday in a local care facility.
The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be at 11
a.m. Monday in Church of the Heavenly Rest, Episcopal with the
Rev. Scott Mayer officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Kinard was born in Palestine and moved to Abilene in 1926.
She graduated from Abilene High School in 1932 and Hardin-Simmons
University in 1936. She married Cearley Read "C.R."
Kinard in 1939 in Abilene and taught Sunday school for many years
at Church of the Heavenly Rest, Episcopal. She also worked with
Women of the Church, which included being a volunteer at the Thrift
House.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; one son, James C.
Kinard of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Janet Heyne of Houston;
one sister, Clara Campbell of Abilene; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Windcrest Alzheimer's Care Center,
6050 Hospital Drive, Abilene 79606; or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home
and after the service in the church parish hall.
Gale 'Gabby' Hubble
CLYDE -- Gale "Gabby" Hubble 70, died Thursday in
a local nursing home.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m.
Monday in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Timms
officiating.
Mr. Hubble was born in Wayne County, Ill., and married Norma
Jean Stanley in 1946 in Clay City, Ill. He moved to Clyde in 1969
from Abilene. He worked as a truck driver for Hack Drilling for
22 years and Bandera Trucking for several years until retiring.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of Clyde; one son, William Hubble
of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters, Candance Faye Howard of New
Braunfels and Debroah Kaye Huston of Naples, Fla.; two brothers,
Burton Hubble of Olney, Ill., and Leon Hubble of Bettendorf, Iowa;
one sister, Leila Mae Runyon of Noble, Ill.; 10 grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren.
Davis Cade 'Bubba' Chick
LA JARA, Colo. -- Davis Cade "Bubba" Chick, 2, son
of a former Merkel resident, died April 21 in a local hospital.
Services were held April 24 at First United Methodist Church
in Alamosa, Colo.
Davis was born in Alamosa, Colo.
Survivors include his parents, Chuck and Christine Chick of
La Jara; one brother, Taylor Chick of La Jara; his paternal grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chick of Alamosa, Colo., and Peggy Hartline
of Abilene; his maternal grandparents, Peter and Joyce Passarelli
of Dale City, Va.; his great-grandmother, Theda Wheeler of Trent;
and five uncles and one aunt.
Frances Suzanne White
ANSON -- Frances Suzanne White, 77, of Abilene and formerly
of Anson, died Friday in an Abilene care center.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Mount Hope Cemetery
with the Rev. Richard Payne officiating, directed by Lawrence-Adams
Funeral Home.
Ms. White was born in Anson, where she graduated from high
school in 1939, and served with the U.S. Navy's WAVES during World
War II. She then worked in Houston until 1952 when she moved to
Dallas. She was employed by Gardner Brothers Drilling Co. in Dallas
and, later, Callier Hearing Center and the University of Texas
at Dallas until retiring in 1987. She moved to Abilene in 1996.
Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Alberts of Weatherford
and Jane Keene of San Angelo; three brothers, George B. White
of Abilene, and James White and John White, both of Lubbock; six
nephews and three nieces; six great-nieces and seven great-nephews;
and three great-great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. today in the funeral
home.
Betty Kay Roberts Franklin
POTOSI -- Betty Kay Roberts Franklin, 31, lifelong resident
of the Clyde-Potosi area, died Friday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 6 p.m. Monday in Clyde Cemetery
with the Rev. Ronnie Timms officiating, directed by Bailey Funeral
Home of Clyde.
Mrs. Franklin was born in Baird and graduated from Clyde High
School. She married Ronnie Franklin in 1983 in Clyde and worked
in home health care. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband of Potosi; two sons, Zachary
Dean Franklin and Justin Ryan Franklin, both of Potosi; one daughter,
Jennifer Renea Franklin of Potosi; her mother, Lela Roberts of
Clyde; two brothers, Virgil Roberts of Proctor and Sylvester Roberts
of Clyde; two sisters, Judy Schulte of Clyde and Linda Darnell
of Baird; and several nieces and nephews.
Gladys Gray
ANSON -- Gladys Gray, 91, died Friday in an Azle hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Northside Baptist Church
with the Revs. Tom Lewis and Jerry Pittman officiating. Graveside
services will be at 5 p.m. in Necessity Cemetery east of Breckenridge,
directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gray was born in Williamson County and moved to Lueders
in 1948 from Necessity, and to Anson in 1961. She worked as a
nurse's aide and private duty nurse. She also was a homemaker.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was the widow
of James Davis Gray, whom she married in 1927 in Breckenridge.
Survivors include two sons, James Gray of Azle and Bert Gray
of Waco; four daughters, Margaret Richardson of Stamford, Barbara
Roseberry of Weatherford, Eva Thetford of Boyd and Nell Eoff of
Hamlin; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church at noon today.
Elmo Carrie 'Bill' Ruhmann
MIDLAND -- Elmo Carrie "Bill" Ruhmann, 85, formerly
of Ballinger, died Friday in a local hospital.
Private graveside services will be held. A memorial service
will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Midland First United Methodist Church
with the Rev. C. Lane Boyd officiating, directed by Ellis Funeral
Home.
Mr. Ruhmann was born in Kaufman County and attended school
in Ballinger. He also attended Texas Tech University and worked
for the Texas Department of Transportation in South Texas and
the Panhandle for several years. He was a civil engineer for the
U.S. Navy from 1940 until accepting the same position in 1946
with Socony Vacuum, later known as Mobil Oil Co., in Berinas,
Venezuela. He married Elowiese Irvin in 1948 and moved to Midland
in 1949. He was employed by Buddy Johnson Construction Co. until
1955 when he joined Collins Construction Co. He formerly lived
in Panama City, Panama.
Survivors include his wife of Midland; two daughters, Kathryn
Goerlich of Houston and Donna Cornelius of Midland; one son, William
Carrie Ruhmann of Midland; five grandchildren; and one nephew
and one niece.

Lola Leatherman
BROWNWOOD -- Lola P. Leatherman, 71, formerly of Coleman, died
Saturday in a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel
in Coleman with Dr. Charles Sheffield officiating. Burial will
be in Brown Ranch Cemetery.
Mrs. Leatherman was born in Coleman County and attended school
in Leaday. She was a homemaker and moved to Coleman in 1974 from
Tom Green County, and to San Angelo in 1993 and Brownwood in 1996.
She was a Baptist and was the widow of Lee Leatherman, whom she
married in 1942 in San Angelo.
Survivors include four daughters, Virginia Gibbard of San Angelo,
Patsy Dicus of Weatherford, Deborah Fowler of Brownwood and Wanda
Boucher of Coleman; one son, Lee Leatherman Jr. of Brownwood;
her stepmother, Annabelle Phillips of San Angelo; one sister,
Ethel Fenwick of San Angelo; six half-sisters, Dee Moody, Mary
Vejinski and Eugenia Ramsey, all of Bryan, Janelle Allen, Janie
Ross and Charlene Perkins; one half-brother, Kennard Ramsey of
Bryan; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Ollie Mae Deatherage
MERKEL -- Ollie Mae Deatherage, 88, died Friday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in McBee Cemetery
in Ovalo with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating, directed by
Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Deatherage was born in Eastland County and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Golden Saints and First Baptist Church
and was the widow of Lonnie Deatherage.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Lambert Kinder of Merkel;
one brother, Everett David "Pete" Belew of Big Spring;
four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Stephen Jewel Hayes
BROWNWOOD -- Stephen Jewel Hayes, 7-day-old infant son of Brandon
and Jessica Jones Hayes of Brownwood, died Friday in a Fort Worth
hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Eastlawn Memorial
Park with the Rev. Jack Ruth officiating, directed by Heartland
Funeral Home of Early.
Stephen was born in Brownwood.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Tony and Debra Guidroz
of Early and Steve and Ludy Hayes of Coleman; his great-grandparents,
Mary Lindsey of San Saba, Jerry and Nancy Light of Cherokee, Mr.
and Mrs. Felix O. Noel of Opelousas, La., and Mr. and Mrs. Davis
Lee Guidroz of Washington, La.; his great-great-grandmother, Dorothy
Wilson of Liberty Hill; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lamoin Mitchell
ALBANY -- Lamoin (Mrs. Bob) Mitchell, 87, died Saturday in
an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in United Pentecostal Church
with the Rev. James Manley officiating. Burial will be in Albany
Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Desdemona and married R.I. "Bob"
Mitchell in 1933 in Breckenridge. She was a homemaker and was
a member of United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Tranquilla Boswell of Odessa;
one son, Don Mitchell of Atlanta; one brother, Cay Stocton of
Albany; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lloyd G. Seybold, 68, died Saturday in a local hospital. Services
