Marie Mayhall
Marie Mayhall, 67, died Monday at home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elliot-Hamil Funeral Home
Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial
Park.
Mrs. Mayhall was born in Oklahoma. She married Coleman Lee
Mayhall in Brownwood in 1952, and the couple moved to Abilene
from De Leon in 1954. She worked as a dorm attendant at the Abilene
State School for 14 years and was a member of Elmwood Baptist
Church.
Survivors include one son, Curtis L. Mayhall of Abilene; two
daughters, Becky Windham and Gail Martinez, both of Abilene; one
brother, Bob Walker; and seven grandchildren.
Clyde Burleson Davenport
BANGS - Clyde Burleson Davenport, 88, of Burleson, formerly
of Bangs, died Monday in Burleson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church,
directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Davenport, a retired farmer and rancher, married Mattie
Beth Payne in Roscoe in 1942. He came to Brown County in 1926
and was a member and deacon of Concord Baptist Church for more
than 50 years. He was a board member of the Brookesmith Water
Supply and the ASCS.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Davenport of Burleson; one
daughter, Frances Beard of Levelland; one son, Marvin E. Davenport
of Arlington; one brother, Clarence Davenport of Coleman; four
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Concord Baptist Church or a favorite
charity.
Ruby May Cluck
COMANCHE - Ruby May Cluck, 90, of River Oaks, formerly of Comanche
County, died Sunday in Fort Worth.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Stag Creek
Cemetery, directed by Hall & Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cluck was born in Comanche County and worked for General
Dynamics for 28 years as a shear operator.
Survivors include her husband, Don Cluck, of River Oaks; two
brothers, Darrell May of Fort Worth and Luther May of Santa Anna;
and two sisters, Dessa May Patterson of Santa Anna and Marie Winfrey
of Sundown.
Johnnie Louise Kelly
BRECKENRIDGE - Johnnie Louise Kelly, 69, of Breckenridge, died
Saturday in Houston.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Cecil Harper officiating, directed by Morehart Mortuary.
Mrs. Kelly was born in Stephens County and graduated from Breckenridge
High School and Texas Women's College. She married Orland Allen
in Las Vegas, N.M., in 1948. She married Foster R. Kelly in Abilene
in 1962. She worked as a secretary for Shell Oil for 13 years
and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday
school class.
Survivors include three sons, James O. Allen Jr. of Breckenridge,
Tony Kris Allen of Titusville, Fla., and Johnny Frank Allen of
Mason, Mich.; two daughters, Swanna Kay Goble of Marla, Okla.,
and Vera Ruth Larsen of Katy; her mother, Gency Shaw of Breckenridge;
nine grandchildren and two nieces.
Memorials may be sent to Meals on Wheels and may be left at
Morehart Mortuary.
Stella Card Anthony
COMANCHE - Stella Card Anthony, 82, died Saturday in a Comanche
nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Hall & Sons Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. Van Christian officiating.
Mrs. Anthony was born in Pecos. She graduated from Pecos High
School and married Boyd H. Anthony in Pecos in 1938. She was a
resident of Comanche for 58 years. A homemaker, she also worked
several years as a teller for the family-owned State National
Bank in Comanche. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where
she served for more than 20 years in the church nursery. She was
also a member of the Comanche Study Club, the Comanche Garden
Club, the Rejebian Club and various bridge clubs.
Survivors include three daughters, Kay Anthony Fox and Kathy
Culpepper, both of Comanche, and Gail Youngsdale of Sugar Land;
two brothers, Dennis Card of Fort Stockton and Buddy Card of McCamey;
one sister, Nita Smith of Pecos; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the nursery fund of the First Baptist
Church.
Annie Kathryn Nobles
ALBANY - Annie Kathryn (Mrs. James H.) Nobles, 86, died Friday
at an Albany nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church
with the Rev. David Mallory officiating, directed by Godfrey-Neese
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nobles was born in Albany and married James H. Nobles
in Davidson, Okla. She was a homemaker and an employee of the
Albany Independent School District for many years.
Survivors include one son, James H. Nobles Jr. of Conesus,
N.Y.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

BROWNWOOD - Clarence Leon Lewis, 90, died Monday in a Brownwood
nursing home. Services are pending with Heartland Funeral Home.

BIG SPRING - Grace Ann Warren, infant daughter of Dr. J. Wray
and Beverly Warren, died Monday in a Midland hospital. Services

died Sunday in Granbury. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in
