Elsie Harber Woodrum
Elsie Harber Woodrum, 94, died Sunday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist
Church with the Rev. Jerry Paulding and Kenneth Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by North's Funeral
Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Woodrum was born in Buda and moved to Caps as an infant.
She graduated from Abilene High School in 1923 and from Hardin-Simmons
University in 1927. She retired from Hendrick Medical Center in
1974 and was active in Abilene Baptist Association, West Texas
Rehabilitation Center, Meals on Wheels, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She was a "religious visitor" at Hendrick Hospital,
the forerunner of the chaplaincy program, and organized the "Pink
Ladies" volunteers in 1958 and the Candy Stripers a year
later. She was director of volunteers for Hendrick for 25 years.
She organized the first camps for Royal Ambassadors, Girls in
Action and Hope Camps for Big Country Baptist Assembly. She taught
Sunday school for 60 years and was active in many mission awareness
programs. She married O.B. Woodrum in 1928; he preceded her in
death.
Survivors include one niece, one nephew and several cousins,
including Mabel Archambault, Jackie Harber and Glenna Mangrum,
all of Abilene.
Buelene Shipp
ROBY - Buelene Shipp, 57, died Monday at a local hospital after
a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Bonnie Dunsworth officiating. Burial will
be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shipp was born in Odessa and moved to Fisher County as
a child. She was active in 4-H Clubs from 1971-1989, was a member
of Roby Volunteer Firemans Auxiliary and a past member and officer
of Roby High School Athletic and Band Boosters clubs. She was
a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She
married Eugene Shipp in 1967 in Roby.
Survivors include her husband of Roby; three daughters, Vickey
Castor of Durant, Okla., Jackie Lane of Katy and Sharron Leverton
of Colorado City; three sons, Damon Shipp of Colorado City, John
Shipp of Katy and David Shipp of Abilene; one stepdaughter, Missy
Dulan of Abilene; her mother, Valene Kiker of Rotan; two sisters,
Sharron Davis of Weatherford and Becca Frierson of Sweetwater;
13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Roby Volunteer Fire Department,
the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
Philip Sarabia
O'BRIEN - Philip Sarabia, 53, died Sunday at a local hospital
after a sudden illness.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home in
Knox City with Julian Estrada officiating. Services will be at
10 a.m. Wednesday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City.
Burial will be in O'Brien Cemetery.
Mr. Sarabia was born in Yancy (Medina County) and had worked
for J's Oil Field Well Service for 21 years. He was a member of
Santa Rosa Catholic Church. He married Margarita Guerero in 1965
in Haskell.
Survivors include his wife of O'Brien; one son, Philip Sarabia
of O'Brien; one sister, Maria Sarabia of Altus, Okla.; two cousins
and two granddaughters.
Mary Katherine 'Tillie' DuBose
MERKEL - Mary Katherine "Tillie" DuBose, 68, died
Monday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Starbuck Funeral Home
with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Rose
Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. DuBose was born in Sweetwater and lived in the Merkel
area all her life. She attended Merkel High School and was a homemaker
and a Baptist. She married Marvin DuBose in 1965 in Merkel; he
preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Webb of Levelland; one sister,
Tommie Sprott of Big Spring; and three grandchildren.

Mary Redder
RHINELAND - Mary V. Redder, 97, died Sunday at a Seymour nursing
home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Saint Joseph's Catholic
Church. Burial will be in Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, directed
by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.
Mrs. Redder was a lifetime resident of Rhineland and was a
homemaker. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church
and Saint Ann's Christian Mother's Society. She married Joseph
Redder in 1921 in Rhineland; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Agnes Loran of Windthorst
and Lucille Gardner of Wichita Falls; four sons, Albert Redder
of Waco, Philip Redder of Seymour, Charles Redder of Fort Worth
and Herman Redder of Rhineland; two brothers, Frank Decker of
Albuquerque, N.M., and Joe Decker of Rhineland; one sister, Rose
Birkenfeld of Nazareth; 36 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Terecia 'Terry' Blanche Mosley
BURNET - Terecia "Terry" Blanche Mosley, 61, died
Sunday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clements-Wilcox Funeral
Home with the Rev. Tim Sublett officiating. Burial will be in
Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mosley was born in Dothan and was secretary to the Burnet
city manager for 15 years, serving as city secretary for the past
12 years. She was secretary for the Fire Fighters Pension Fund,
public information officer, election officer and a former member
of Business and Professional Women's Association. She was a member
of First United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Andy Mosley.
Survivors include two daughters, Terecia Kaye Beavers Johns
of Burnet and Susanna Michelle Montgomery of Leander; one son,
Kenneth Paul Mosley of Austin; three sisters, Mae Donaway of Putnam
and Wilma Stovall and Bobbie Donaway, both of Odessa; one brother,
Bill Speegle of Fort Stockton; three grandchildren and numerous
other relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Herman Brown Free Library.
Don Smith
ANSON - Don Smith, 61, died Sunday at a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Baptist Church
with the Revs. Tom Lewis and Pervis Williams officiating. Burial
will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral
Home.
Mr. Smith was born in Abilene and moved to Anson in 1958. He
was a stock farmer and a Baptist. He married Mary Knudson in 1955
in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife of Anson; two daughters, Pam Lanphear
of Tuscola and Donna Morrison of Anson; one son, William Milze
Smith; one brother, Michael Glen Smith of New York, N.Y.; one
sister, Suzanne Vickers of Irving; four grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Louis Ray Kimbler
HASKELL - Louis Ray Kimbler, 62, died Monday at an Abilene
hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Christian Church
with Dale Huff and Dusty Garison officiating. Burial will be in
Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Kimbler was born in Rule and attended Stephen F. Austin
State University and the Dallas Police Academy. He worked for
the Dallas Police Department and the Texas Department of Public
Safety in Midland for a number of years, later returning to Haskell
where he worked for the Haskell Independent School District in
the maintenance department. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member
of First Christian Church. He married Mylta Kreger in Haskell
in 1965.
Survivors include his wife of Haskell; one son, Craig Kimbler
of Dublin; one sister, Augusta Owens of Haskell; and four grandsons.

Robert Allen 'Bob' Hammett
DALLAS - Robert Allen "Bob" Hammett, 77, died Sunday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church
in Prosper with the Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Graveside services
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, directed
by Restland Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammett was born in Hammond, Ind., and grew up in Ohio,
Indiana and Ypsilanti, Mich. He attended the University of Michigan
and was a veteran of World War II. He lived in Dallas and Cisco,
where he was an executive at First National Bank for 20 years
and a member of First Baptist Church. He returned to Dallas in
1972 and retired after 10 years with Preston State Bank. He was
a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas and The Heights Baptist
Church in Richardson. He had lived in Prosper for nine years and
was a member of First Baptist Church. He was the widower of Kitty
Hammett.
Survivors include one son, John Hammett; one daughter, Sue
Cangelosi; two brothers, Jack Hammett and Richard Hammett; four
grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Oakwood Cemetery Association in Cisco
or First Baptist Church in Prosper.

GORMAN - Willie Oliver Parr, 93, died Monday at a De Leon hospital.
