Wilbur 'Bill' Ouellette

Wilbur "Bill" Ouellette, 81, died Friday in a local hospital.

The body will be cremated and no services are planned. Arrangements were made by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South.

Mr. Ouellette was born in Algonac, Mich., where he grew up, and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in The Orient for 18 years. He married Sarah Rader in 1985 in Nevada and moved to Abilene in 1994 from Kerrville. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; two daughters, Elena Gaona of Sacramento, Calif., and Katherine J. Jackson of Abilene; one son, James R. Ouellette of California; and five grandchildren.

Willie Mae Daniel

Willie Mae Daniel, 86, died Saturday in a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. David Cason officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.

Mrs. Daniel was born in Lampasas and lived in Abilene for many years. She was a retired sales clerk.

Survivors include one nephew.

Fayne Adelbert McKelleb

TUSCOLA -- Fayne Adelbert McKelleb, 89, died Friday in a Winters nursing home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Tuscola First Baptist Church with the Rev. T.C. Melton officiating. Burial will be in McBee Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.

Mr. McKelleb was born in Mill Township, Ind., and attended Fairmount Academy in Fairmount, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a power plant engineer for Owens-Illinois Glass Co., now Owens-Corning, at Gas City, Ind. for 42 years until retiring in 1974. He moved to Rising Star in 1975, Winters in 1978 and Tuscola in 1988. He married Ruth Leah Kelsay in 1934 in Indiana. He was the widower of Gracie Hight McKelleb, whom he married in 1976 in Winters. He married Theresa Wiersma Marona in 1988 in Tuscola. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of Tuscola; three sons, David Edward McKelleb of St. George, Utah, Kenneth Leon McKelleb of High Ridge, Mo., and Richard Lee McKelleb of Highland Village; one daughter, Dr. Thelma Louise Williams of London; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Annie Jewel Golson

EASTLAND -- Annie Jewel Golson, 98, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.

Mrs. Golson was born in Cisco, where she grew up, and moved to Eastland in 1947. She worked for Irish Drilling Co. and Dairy Queen. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three nieces and one nephew.

Gerald Brown

BANGS -- Gerald D. Brown, 58, died Thursday in Brownwood.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood. The body will be cremated.

Mr. Brown was born in Lamar, Mo., and lived in Tulsa, Okla. for many years. He married Judy Watkins in 1958 in Tulsa, Okla., and moved to Bangs in 1997. He was a retired contractor.

Survivors include his wife, of Bangs; two daughters, Vickie Brashar of Tulsa, Okla., and Lori Smith of Sand Springs, Okla.; two brothers, Darrell Brown of Tulsa, Okla., and Danny Puryear of Rogers, Ark.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Essie Elizabeth Holley

EASTLAND -- Essie Elizabeth Holley, 61, died Friday at her home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Assembly of God with Jeff Buford and the Revs. Kent Treadwell and James Rowton officiating. Burial will be in Eastland City Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holley was born in Wade, Okla., and where she grew up, and married J.W. Holley in 1953 in McKinney. She was a homemaker and lived in Tyler and Albany before moving to Eastland in 1986. She worked as a cashier at Eastland Super Six's until becoming ill. She taught Sunday school and operated a telephone ministry at the Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, of Eastland; one daughter, Susan Ricks of Eastland; three sons, Bruce Holley and Barry Holley, both of Eastland, and Brett Holley of Denton; four brothers, Albert J. Harris of Midwest City, Okla., Edward Harris of Shawnee, Okla., Rodger Harris of Bokchito, Okla., and Michael Harris of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Christine Sanders of Kirkland, Wash., and Linda Bohde of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ardelia Neblett

BROWNWOOD -- Ardelia Neblett, 88, lifelong local resident, died Wednesday in a local hospital after a sudden illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Emmanuel Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Georgia Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

Mrs. Neblett was born in Brownwood and was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Chapel United Methodist Church and was the widow of William "Todd" Neblett, whom she married in Brownwood.

Survivors include one daughter, Peggy J. Weathersby of Dallas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Clint Wilson Lewis

SWEETWATER -- Clint Wilson Lewis, 76, lifelong local resident, died Friday in a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Keith Clifton officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Slaters Chapel Cemetery in Nolan.

Mr. Lewis was born in Sweetwater, where he married Imogene Pool in 1943, and was a B-29 gunner with the U.S. Army Air Corps' 467th Bombardment Group in Eto. He received a Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and three clusters. He worked for U.S. Gypsum for 20 years and Domtar, also for 20 years, until retiring. He was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of Sweetwater; two sons, Pat Lewis and Mike Lewis, both of Sweetwater; one brother, Jake Lewis of Roby; and two nephews and five nieces.

Frances Hill Green

MORAN -- Frances Hill Green, 74, died Friday in a De Soto nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Moran First United Methodist Church with the Revs. J. Harold Hill and Douglas Stenberg officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green was born in Cisco and co-operated, with her husband until his death, Green's Grocery. She then operated the business until retiring. She was a director of the Moran Museum Society. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary and First United Methodist Church and was the widow of LaFord Green, whom she married in 1947 in Breckenridge.

Survivors include one son, Robert Charles Green of Ferndale, Calif.; one daughter, Necia Green McLoughlin of De Soto; one brother, J. Harold Hill of Temple; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

R.L. Roberts

R.L. Roberts, 73, died Saturday at his home. Services are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.

Alice Williams Wiggins

Alice Williams Wiggins, 90, died Saturday in a local hospital. Services are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.

Jewel Ridley

WOODSON -- Jewel Ridley, 84, died Saturday in a Graham hospital. Services are pending with Merriman-Archer Funeral Home of Throckmorton.

Arlie Jordan

ANSON -- Arlie E. Jordan, 74, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital. Services are pending with Kinney Funeral Home of Stamford.

Zelda Johnson

GOLDTHWAITE -- Zelda Johnson, 82, died Saturday in a Temple hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel.

Lillie Darnell

STEPHENVILLE -- Lillie Darnell, 74, died Saturday in a local nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.

Dale Howard Ferguson

BIG SPRING -- Dale Howard Ferguson, 71, of Houston and formerly of Howard County, died Friday in Houston. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel.

Julia Mae Filler

SNYDER -- Julia Mae Filler, 85, died Friday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hillside Memorial Gardens, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Joyce Chaney

EARLY -- Joyce F. Chaney, 66, died Friday in a Brownwood hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Ruby Faye Tidwell

SWEETWATER -- Ruby Faye Tidwell, 92, formerly of San Antonio, died Saturday in a local retirement center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Mission Park South Cemetery in San Antonio, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
