Lou Wylie-Wright
Lou Wylie-Wright, 68, of Abilene died Sunday in Kerrville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist
Church with Dr. Tom Thomson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood
Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Wylie-Wright was born in Vernon and moved to Abilene from
Lubbock in 1977. She was president of Wylie, Inc. for 26 years.
She was a Presbyterian. She was the widow of Marvin Edward "M.E."
Wylie. She married Benjamin F. Wright in 1990 in Abilene.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; five sons, Robert
Edward Doyal of Lubbock, Coyt Louis Mangum of Galveston, James
Michael Mangum of Longmont, Colo., Rickey Paul Mangum of Abilene
and Marvin Edward Wylie of Austin; one brother, Thomas Coyt Webb
of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Ben Richey Boys' Ranch, P.O. Box 893,

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.
Arlie Jordan
ANSON - Arlie E. Jordan, 74, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Lee Welch officiating. Burial will be in Central
Cemetery in the Pulltight community, directed by Kinney Funeral
Home of Stamford.
Mr. Jordan was born in Hawley and was a lifetime resident of
Jones County. He was a truck driver for Cooper Oil Company of
Hamlin, a Navy veteran and a member of Bible Baptist Church in
Cisco. He married Lois Lindsey in 1944; she preceded him in death.
He married Frances Williams Riley in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, of Anson; three sons, James Jordan
of Levelland and Lee Jordan and Ronnie Jordan, both of Anson;
two daughters, Carolyn Klansek of Scranton, Pa., and Connie Donnelly
of Hawley; one stepson, Linden Riley of Milton, Fla.; two brothers,
Cleo Jordan of Anson and Garland Jordan of Jackson, Mich.; two
sisters, Lona Mitcham of Anson and Oletha Pittman of Abilene;
12 grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, one great-grandchild,
three stepgreat-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Minnie Maude Callan
ROTAN - Minnie Maude Callan, 91, of San Angelo died Monday
at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Miles with the Rev. Faith Jenson officiating. Graveside services
will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Callan was born in Walnut Springs and lived in Rotan,
Springtown and Sweetwater before moving to San Angelo in 1989.
She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran
Church of America in Miles. She married Rush Callan in 1924 in
Rotan; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Nita Schwarz of Miles and
Billie Jean Coldewey of Tulsa, Okla.; one son, R.W. Callan of
Rule; one sister, Lucille Montgomery of Burleson; two half-sisters,
Betty Hagman of Nordman, Idaho, and Emma Summerlott of Pahrump,
Nev.; one half-brother, Gene Boughter of Spokane, Wash.; three
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Johnson Funeral Home in San Angelo all
day today.
Michael Padgett
BROWNWOOD - Michael D. Padgett, 38, died Sunday in Brownwood.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. Steve McMeans officiating. Burial will be
in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Padgett was born in Big Spring and had lived in Brownwood
for 10 years. He was a salesman for Morrison's Supply Co., a Navy
veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Big Spring. He
was Jaycee president in Brownwood for two years and a Jaycees
state officer for two years. He married Virginia Dunlap in 1990
in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; his parents, Carmen
and Waymon Phillips of Brownwood; one sister, Linda Padgett of
Waco; two stepbrothers, Greg Phillips of Austin and Randy Phillips
of Bedford; one stepsister, Deborah Ann McNabb of Houston; a grandmother,
Mamie Roberts of Big Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard 'Dick' Mitchell
BROWNWOOD - Richard L. "Dick" Mitchell, 81, died
Monday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Greenleaf
Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Santa Anna and had lived in Brownwood
for 14 years. He was a retired machinist and an Army veteran of
World War II. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He
married Nell Anderson Campbell in 1973 in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; one daughter, Linda
Powers of Brownwood; one son, James Campbell of Carterville, Ill.;
three sisters, Bonnie Blain of Poulsbo, Wash., Faye Penn of Brownwood
and Minnie Gunnell of Buckholts; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ruby Ethel Neel
SWEETWATER - Ruby Ethel Neel, 85, died Sunday at an Abilene
hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lamar Street Baptist
Church with the Revs. Keith Clifton and James Healer officiating.
Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Neel was born in Hamlin and had lived in the area for
many years. She attended Sam Houston State University, graduated
from McMurry College and taught school at Captola, Hobbs, Hermleigh
and Roscoe for 35 years. She was a member of Lamar Street Baptist
Church and Retired Teachers Association. She married Raymon Neel
in 1936 in Sweetwater; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Garnet Grigson of Buchanan Dam,
and 11 nieces and nephews.
Grace Evelyn Ellington
STAMFORD - Grace Evelyn Ellington, 77, died Sunday at an Abilene
hospital.
Graveside services will be at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Fort Sam
Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with the Rev. George
Schwanenberg officiating, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ellington was born in Louden, Tenn., and moved to Stamford
in 1991 from Laredo. She was a Baptist. She married Harold Ellington
in 1945.
Survivors include her husband, of Stamford; two sons, Harold
Ellington of Laredo and Marvin Ellington of Stamford; three daughters,
Janet Almaraz of Stamford, Brenda Garcia of Laredo and Evelyn
Lange of Midwest City, Okla.; two sisters, Mildred Hyde of High
Point, N.C., and Kathryn Rinn of Salsbury, N.C.; seven grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 1-4 p.m. today.
Eldon Ray Ravellette
BIG SPRING - Eldon Ray Ravellette, 60, of Longview died Sunday
at a local hospital. Memorial services are pending with Nalley-Pickle
& Welch Funeral Home.
Lena Mae Hall
COMANCHE - Lena Mae Hall, 87, died Sunday at a De Leon hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Board Church Cemetery,
directed by Comanche Funeral Home.
Margaret Elizabeth Cobb Williams
MULLIN - Margaret Elizabeth Cobb Williams, 67, died Saturday
at a Brownwood hospital. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today
at Mullin United Methodist Church, directed by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral
Home of Goldthwaite.
Alice Hastings
Alice Hastings, 93, of Abilene died Monday at a local nursing
home. Services are pending with Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S.
Hwy. 277 South.
Edna Helen Wahlen
STAMFORD - Edna Helen Wahlen, 77, died Monday at an Abilene
hospital. Services are pending with Tankersley Funeral Home.
