Dakotah Cheyenne Willis
Dakotah Cheyenne Willis, infant, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cedar Hill Cemetery
with the Rev. James Herrington officiating, directed by North's
Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Dakotah was born in Abilene.
Survivors include her parents, Darrell and Melinda Willis of
Abilene; two half-brothers, Matthew Lipps and Michael Lipps, both
of Wichita Falls; one brother, Jared Willis of Abilene; her paternal
grandparents, Darrell Willis Sr. of Burkeville and Doris Willis
of Anacoco, La.; her paternal great-grandparents, Noble Willis
of Evans, La., Leola Glaspy of Marble Falls and Johnnie Dalme
of Leesville, La.; her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Betty
Lampert of Wichita Falls; and her maternal great-grandfather,
Ray West of Abilene.
The Rev. Don Rhymes
JACKSON, Miss. - The Rev. Don Rhymes, 64, formerly of Abilene,
died Wednesday in a local hospital from injuries received in an
automobile accident.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Jackson First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, directed by Baldwin-Lee
Funeral Home.
Rev. Rhymes was born in Louisiana, where he grew up, and attended
Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Fort Worth. He was ordained a Baptist minister at
Elmdale Baptist Church in Abilene and pastored churches in Texas
and Kansas. He was a missionary with the Home Missions Board in
New York City from 1967-70 and then the Home Missionaries to Street
People in Atlanta until 1972. He also was a missionary for the
Home Mission Board in Atlanta before pastoring First Southern
Baptist Church at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu from 1974-77. He returned
to the Home Mission Board in Atlanta and was director of personnel
until 1981. He was pastor of Prays Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville,
Ga. before moving to Jackson in 1984. He was minister of pastorial
care at Jackson First Baptist Church from 1985-98.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Rhymes of Jackson; three
daughters, Debra Pipes of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Rebekah Davis
and Jill Easterwood, both of Lawton, Okla.; two brothers, George
Rhymes of Jonesboro and Hodge, La., and David Rhymes of Jonesboro,
La.; four sisters, Pat Gilbreath of Houston, Shirley Williams
of Jonesboro, La., Sarah Brochette of Shreveport, La., and Jerri
Allan of Denton; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Home Mission Board in Atlanta, Ga.;
or a favorite church.
Margaret Williams
BROWNWOOD - Margaret E. (Mrs. D.B., Jr.) Williams, 78, died
Friday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Brady First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Bill Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Camp
San Saba Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born in De Leon and worked as an administrative
assistant at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital in Brady. She lived
in Odessa and Midland before moving to Brownwood in 1997 and was
a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Garden Club, both in
Midland. She attended Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and was the
widow of D.B. Williams Jr., whom she married in 1962 in Abilene.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Cloud of Brownwood;
one son, David L. Farmer of Houston; one stepson, Jody Williams
of Combine; two sisters, Pat Meinzer of Austin and Billie Faye
Richardson of Waco; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice Lewis Bagby
MERKEL - Bernice Lewis Bagby, 77, died Thursday in an Abilene
hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Merkel First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be in White
Church Cemetery, southwest of Merkel, directed by Starbuck Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Bagby was born in Merkel, where she graduated from high
school. She worked for 19 years in the Merkel school cafeteria.
She managed the Trent school cafeteria for two years and Sulphur
Springs Fishing Camp in Bend for six years. She was a homemaker
and was a member of the Merkel Garden Club. She was a Baptist
and was the widow of Jack Bagby, whom she married in 1939 in Merkel.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur Bagby of Austin and Ferrell
Bagby of Trent; three daughters, Shannon Barnes, Kay Bright and
Edith Kennedy, all of Merkel; three brothers, Wayne Billy Lewis
of Port Orchard, Wash., Clyde "Hopper" Lewis of Trent
and Melvin "Mutt" Lewis of Yakima, Wash.; four sisters,
Mary Martin of Abilene, Louise Pickle of Jamestown, Calif., Opal
Rakes of Merkel and Jane Poisson of Temperance, Mich.; 14 grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Hamp Treadaway
BROWNWOOD - Hamp F. Treadaway, 73, died Thursday in a local
hospital.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Heartland Funeral Home
Chapel in Early with the Rev. L.R. Blackstock officiating. Burial
will be in Cleveland Cemetery south of Santa Anna.
Mr. Treadaway was born in Fayette, Ala., and moved to Brownwood
in the late 1940s. He worked as an equipment operator for White's
Mines for many years and was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Treadaway of Brownwood;
two daughters, Judy Thacker and Linda Weathington, both of Brownwood;
one brother, Ewell Treadaway of Lake Brownwood; two sisters, Josie
Naron of Lake Brownwood and Joyce Wright of Brownwood; five grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
Sadie Ruth Harrison
SNYDER - Sadie Ruth Harrison, 94, died Wednesday in a local
care center after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral
Home Chapel with the Revs. C.J. Smith and Larry White officiating.
Burial will be in Dunn Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison was born in Panola County and was a homemaker.
She moved to Dunn in 1929 from East Texas. She and her husband
owned and operated a service station in Dunn for many years. She
moved to Caddo, Okla. in 1957 and returned to Snyder 3-1/2 years
ago. She was a Baptist and was the widow of H.L. Harrison, whom
she married in 1922 in Gary, Texas.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Goodlett of Dunn and
Yvonne Young of Houston; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Matt Wallace
BROWNWOOD - Matt Wallace, 78, of Lake Brownwood, died Friday
in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Heartland Funeral Home
Chapel in Early with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating. Burial
will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Wallace was born in Jonesboro and married Ruth Fowler in
1946 in Breckenridge. He was a retired electrical foreman of AMAX
Corp. and, while living in Carlsbad, N.M., was a member of American
Legion, Elks Lodge and New Mexico Mounted Police. He moved to
Brown County in 1987 from Carlsbad, N.M., and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Lake Brownwood; one son, Bill
Wallace of Lake Brownwood; four daughters, Stephanie Price, Suzane
Magby and Diana Fuson, all of Carlsbad, N.M., and Paula K. Figueroa
of San Antonio; one sister, Fledra McWhorter of Houston; nine
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul Hawthorne
ANSON - Paul Hawthorne, 69, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Anson First United Methodist
Church with Caffey Welch officiating. Burial will be in Bethel
Cemetery in Funston, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hawthorne was born in Jones County, where he attended school,
and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He formerly
worked for Paymaster Gin, ACCO Feeds and a bulldozier operator.
He was a member of Anson Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Michael's
Catholic Church and was the widower of Winnie Mae Baldwin Hawthorne,
whom he married in 1952 in Funston.
Survivors include one son, Jody Hawthorne of Clyde; one daughter,
Vicki Baccus of Anson; one sister, Barbara Acklin of Amarillo;
and three grandchildren.

Modene Andrews
EASTLAND - Modene Andrews, 85, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Eastland Cemetery
with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating, directed by Bakker Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Andrews was born in Eastland County and was a homemaker.
She lived in Taylor and College Station before returning to Eastland
in 1975. She was a Methodist and was the widow of Paul M. Andrews,
whom she married in 1932 in Eastland.
Survivors include two sons, Byron Andrews of Indio, Calif.,
and Garland Andrews of Dallas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Francis 'Frank' Boydstun
HOBBS - Francis S. "Frank" Boydstun, 87, died Thursday
in a Rotan hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Hobbs Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Hobbs Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home
of Rotan.
Mr. Boydstun was born in Stonewall County and moved to Fisher
County in 1943. He married Mary Thomson in 1945 in Rotan and served
with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He
was a farmer and was a deacon at Hobbs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Hobbs; two sons, Fred Boydstun
and Wayne Boydstun, both of Mesquite; one sister, Myrtle Sandell
of Peacock; one brother, Bruce Boydstun of Marlin; four grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; and four nieces and one nephew.
Edwin Neil 'Dickey' Sims
STAMFORD - Edwin Neil "Dickey" Sims, 61, died Friday
in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Jean Cemetery
in Young County with the Rev. Robert Wingrove officiating, directed
by Tankersley Funeral Home.
Mr. Sims was born in Graham and was a retired healthcare attendant.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one aunt, Mae Baldwin of Stamford; two uncles;
and several cousins.
Bessie Louise Karkalits
CISCO - Bessie Louise Karkalits, 92, died Friday in an Eastland
hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Cisco First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood
Cemetery, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Ms. Karkalits was born in Cisco and worked at First National
Bank. She was a member of the 42 Club and, at First Baptist Church,
Womens Missionary Union, Mary Martha Telephone Sunday School Class
and the Birthday Club. She also served on the church's missions
committee for many years.
Survivors include one brother, Burt Karkalits of Hamilton;
and several nieces and nephews.

Aisha Andrews, 2, died Thursday in a local hospital. Services

Fructuoso Daniel
Fructuoso Daniel, 93, died Friday in a local hospital. Services

RANGER - B.C. "Red" McNabb Jr. died Friday in a local

DE LEON - Opal Nabors, 86, died Friday in a local hospital.

IRA - Cliserio Estrada Sanchez, 83, died Thursday at his home
after a sudden illness. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today

be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in
Snyder.
Jacqueline Harvey Ryan
MIDLAND - Jacqueline Harvey Ryan, 71, mother of a Haskell resident,
died Thursday at her home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.

COLLEGE STATION - Bobby Ray Arrington, 71, formerly of Stephenville,
died Thursday in Waco. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday
