Ronald 'Ronnie' McCutchen

Ronald R. "Ronnie" McCutchen, 65, died Saturday at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Potosi Cemetery with the Rev. John Syrios officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd.

Mr. McCutchen was born in Silverton and had lived in Abilene since 1952. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother, Marie McCutchen; two brothers, Alvah McCutchen of Abilene and Calvin McCutchen of Brownwood; one sister, Rose Dillard of Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

David 'Scott' Reynolds

David "Scott" Reynolds, 16, died Saturday at a local hospital after a traffic accident.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Oglesby officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.

David was born at Dyess Air Force Base and lived in Austin for a time, but mostly in Abilene. He attended Abilene High School and played Big Country Youth Association football on the Buccaneers for five years. He was an All-Star in Lone Star Little League.

Survivors include his parents, David and Kathy Reynolds of Abilene; three brothers, Michael S. Reynolds, Jason T. Reynolds and John A. Reynolds, all of Abilene; grandparents Marie Johnson of Abilene and Joyce E. Reynolds of Verdel, Neb.; great-grandmother Lenora Story of Abilene; two nieces and one nephew.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Paul Garland Farrow

ANSON - Paul Garland Farrow, 71, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Welch officiating. Burial will be in Hamlin East Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Farrow was born in Hamlin and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1943. He worked as an oil field supervisor and co-owned BFP Oil Co, retiring in 1991. He was a longtime resident of Midland and moved to Anson from Brookesmith. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was the widow of Jo Nell Gorby. He married Mona Beth Farrow Dopps in 1983 in Wichita, Kan.

Survivors include his wife of Anson; two sons, Joe Paul Farrow and Eddie Garland Farrow, both of Austin; one stepson, David Hugh Dopps of Kansas City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Gay Beth Willson of Arkansas City, Kan., and Rebecca Lu Sayre of Enid, Okla.; two sisters, Maurene White of Abilene and Maudell Baer of Lubbock; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the organ fund at First Baptist Church, 1531 S. Commercial, Anson 79501.

Mrs. L.W. 'Bob' (Frances Lee) Thompson

COLEMAN - Mrs. L.W. "Bob" (Frances Lee) Thompson, 83, died Saturday at a local nursing home.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with James Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Shields and had lived in Coleman County all her life. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, L.W. "Bob" Thompson of Coleman; one daughter, Patsy Driskill of Coleman; three grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

W. Hollis Howard

HASKELL - W. Hollis Howard, 85, died Saturday at an Oklahoma hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. David Page officiating. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Paint Creek, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard was born in Haskell and was a retired farmer and county employee. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was affiliated with Paint Creek Baptist Church. He married Ella Frieda Zelisko in 1931 in Haskell; she preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth Wayne Howard of Bonweier; one daughter, Billie Lois Andress of Kellyville, Okla.; three sisters, Minnie Hunt of Shreveport, La., Eunice Carrizal of Watauga and Bertie Tidwill of Tyler; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Billy Raye Main

BROWNWOOD - Billy Raye Main, 59, of Brown County died Saturday at his home after a sudden illness.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Pleasant Valley Cemetery with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating, directed by Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

Mr. Main was born in Los Angeles and moved to Brown County from Odessa eight years ago. He worked in the oil field. He married Loyette Hendrix in 1997 in Brownwood.

Survivors include his wife of Brown County; one son, Henry Clark of Odessa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marvelle Hobbs

EASTLAND - Marvelle R. Hobbs, 66, died Saturday at a local nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bakker Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brian Hughes and Michael Orsini officiating. Burial will be in Eastland Cemetery.

Mrs. Hobbs was born in Temple, grew up in Floyd County and went to school in Lockney. She moved to Eastland in 1950 and was a seamstress at Vassarette of Munsingwear for 19 years. She lived in Vernon from 1995 until returning to Eastland in February. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Vernon. She married Bill Hobbs in 1948 in Plainview; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Elmore of Vernon, Janie Hornback of Olden and Donna Adams of Odell; one son, Bill Hobbs of Eastland; one sister, Shirley Jarrett of Floydada; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ewell (Bessie) Brewer

BROWNWOOD - Mrs. Ewell (Bessie) Brewer, 95, died Saturday at a local nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be in May Cemetery in May.

Mrs. Brewer was born in Holder and was a lifetime resident of Brown County. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Ewell Brewer in 1920 in May; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Randall Brewer of Brownwood; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Kitchen Fund.

Pauline Hill

RISING STAR - Pauline Hill, 92, died Sunday at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rising Star Cemetery, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home.

Robert Buck

ROBY - Robert Buck, 73, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital. Services are pending with Weathersbee Funeral Home.

Herbert Wayne Kennedy

PROCTOR - Herbert Wayne Kennedy, 69, died Saturday in Tyler. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Harrell Memorial Chapel in Dublin.

Donald Whitley

ROCHESTER - Donald E. Whitley, 63, died Sunday at a local hospital. Services are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

Joy Weaver

BIG SPRING - Joy Weaver, 69, died Saturday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

B.J. Ditto

BRECKENRIDGE - B.J. Ditto, 75, of Weatherford and formerly of Breckenridge, died Saturday at his home. Services are pending with Melton Funeral Home.
