Adele Engle
Adele Engle, 64, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Episcopal Church
of the Heavenly Rest with the Rev. Scott Mayer officiating, directed
by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange. The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Engle grew up in Carrazozo, N.M., and attended college
in Scotts Bluff, Neb. She married Michael Engle in 1961 in Kansas
City, Mo. She worked for a physician in Kansas City, Mo. for several
years. She also lived for several years in Centerview, Mo. before
moving to Abilene in 1982. She worked as a secretary for Associate
General Contractors of America Inc. in Abilene. She was a member
and past president of National Association of Women In Construction
and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one daughter, April
Jennings of Abilene; one son, David Engle of Austin; one sister,
Nancy Brethouur of Westminister, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Doris Lavada Fisher
Doris Lavada Fisher, 77, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral
Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South. Burial will be
in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Waldrip and graduated from Lohn High
School. She moved to Abilene in 1947 from Waldrip. She worked
in food service for a total of 17 years at Crockett and Taylor
elementaries in Abilene before retiring in 1982. She was the widow
of Alfred Lee "Red" Fisher, whom she married in 1945
in Rochelle. She married Graham Fitzpatrick in 1994 in Coleman
and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; three sons, Lee
Allan Fisher and Claude Lanny Fisher, both of Midland, and Larry
Dale Fisher of Abilene; one brother, E.W. Frost of Waldrip; two
sisters, Martha Fast of Brady and Nelda Frost of San Antonio;
seven grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Bobbie Casey
BAIRD - Bobbie J. Casey, 71, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Parker Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. LaVerne Janssen officiating. Burial will
be in Royse City Cemetery.
Ms. Casey was born in Dallas and moved to Baird in 1989 from
Honey Grove. She was a retired electronic technician of Xerox
Corp., and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Abilene.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Thomas of Richardson,
Allen Friedrichs and Gary Friedrichs, both of Clyde; one sister,
Emma Brigham of Clyde; four grandchildren; and one niece and one
nephew.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Gerald Eugene Loach
COMANCHE - Gerald Eugene Loach, 75, formerly of Findlay, Ohio,
died Tuesday in a De Leon hospital after a long illness.
A memorial service will be in Findlay, Ohio at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Hall & Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Loach was born in Findlay, Ohio, and married Eloise Hanna
in 1943 in Corpus Christi. He served with the U.S. Navy during
World War II and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, of Comanche; two sons, Stephen
Gregg Loach and Mark Alan Loach, both of Findlay, Ohio; four grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Ruby Conrad Watson
MINERAL WELLS - Ruby Conrad Watson, 86, of Strawn, died Wednesday
in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Cedar Springs Methodist
Church in Brad with the Rev. Wayne Hunter officiating. Burial
will be in Palo Pinto Cemetery, directed by White's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Watson was born in Wolfe City and lived in Palo Pinto
County for many years. She was the widow of Bill Watson.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Watson Canet of Eastland;
one son, Ralph Reese of Dunnigan, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret
Dyer of Tracy, Calif., and Gene Martin of Blair, Okla.; one brother,
Robert Conrad of Sun City, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Sylvia Garcia Diaz
COLORADO CITY - Sylvia Garcia Diaz, 39, died Monday in a Lubbock
hospital.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Kiker-Seale Funeral
Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Ann's Catholic
Church with the Rev. Timothy Guthridge officiating. Burial will
be in Mitchell County Cemetery.
Ms. Diaz was born in Colorado City, where she attended school,
and worked as a nurse's aide. She was a homemaker and was a member
of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Luera of Loraine and
Sandy Diaz of Colorado City; one son, Billy Diaz of Colorado City;
her parents, Manuel and Bessie Garcia of Loraine; four sisters,
Virginia Casares and Frances Limones, both of Colorado City, Victoria
Lopez of Sweetwater and Yolanda Garcia of Loraine; three brothers,
Rudy Garcia of Colorado City, Roy Garcia of Weatherford, Okla.,
and Rueben Garcia of Loraine; one grandchild; and many nieces
and nephews.
Jerry 'J.D.' Robinson
EASTLAND - Jerry D. "J.D." Robinson, 57, died Tuesday
at his home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Eastland City
Cemetery with Larry Roberts officiating, directed by Edwards Funeral
Home.
Mr. Robinson was born in Gorman and attended school in the
Eastland-Morton Valley area. He also attended Ranger Junior College.
He married Peggy Jo Snyder in 1969 in Eastland and was a self-employed
welder.
Survivors include his wife, of Eastland; one daughter, Tami
Schiller of Austin; one sister, Norma Jean Maxwell of Moscow,
Kan.; several aunts and uncles; and one nephew and one niece.
Eric McCrum
Eric McCrum, 18, died Wednesday in Grimes County near Shiro.
Services are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S.
Hwy 277 South.
Emma Munoz
SWEETWATER - Emma Munoz, 54, died Wednesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
Floyd Harland Vanderpool
DUBLIN - Floyd Harland Vanderpool, 89, died Wednesday in a
local nursing home. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Dublin
Liveoak Cemetery, directed by Harrell Funeral Home.
Lois Helen Ratliff
BROWNWOOD - Lois Helen Ratliff died Wednesday in a local nursing
home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral
Home Chapel in Goldthwaite.
Claudia Lee Leonard
ROSCOE - Claudia Lee Leonard, 76, of Waco, died Tuesday in
a Waco hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Roscoe
First Baptist Church, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
E. Wayne Burleson
BIG SPRING - E. Wayne Burleson, 75, died Tuesday in a local
hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Nalley-Pickle &
Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel.
Jewell Bowden
ROCKWOOD - Jewell (Mrs. Vester) Bowden, 91, of Lubbock and
formerly of Rockwood, died Wednesday in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rockwood Cemetery, directed
by Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.
T.A. Flournoy
BRECKENRIDGE - T.A. Flournoy, 92, died Wednesday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Morehart Mortuary Chapel.
