Peggy Clark
POTTSBORO -- Peggy M. Clark, 77, formerly of Abilene, died
Thursday in a Texhoma hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Preston Bend
Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Beard officiating, directed by
Johnson-Moore Funeral Home of Denison.
Mrs. Clark was born in Denison and married John B. Clark in
1973 in Abilene. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars Lakesite Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of
America and Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Pottsboro; one daughter,
LuJuana Livingston of Pottsboro; four grandchildren; and two grandchildren.

J.B. Marshall
COLORADO CITY -- J.B. Marshall, 80, died Wednesday in a local
hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in 22nd & Austin Church
of Christ. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed
by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Marshall was born in Dunn and graduated from Colorado City
High School in 1937. He married Margaret Justice in 1939 and worked
for a copper mining company in Bisbee, Ariz. before returning
to Colorado City in 1945. He and his wife owned and operated Marshall
Variety and later Marshall Sewing Center until 1977. He was a
deacon and elder at 22nd & Austin Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Colorado City; one daughter,
Gail Joiner of Colorado City; one son, Mark Marshall of Salado;
five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.
Ruth Horton
TRENT -- Ruth Horton, 87, died Friday in a Sweetwater hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Trent United Methodist
Church with the Revs. Dan Burrows and Brett Rowlett officiating.
Burial will be in Trent Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral
Home of Merkel.
Mrs. Horton was born in White Flat in Nolan County and worked
as a sales clerk for many years at Mellinger's and Crawford's
Dry Good stores in Merkel. She was a homemaker. She was a member
of Trent United Methodist Church and was the widow of Fred Horton,
whom she married in 1930 in Trent.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Hudson of Alvin and
Helen Hughs of Trent; two brothers, Alvy Statser of Colorado Springs,
Colo., and Lee J. Statser of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mattie Irene Ellison
ASPERMONT -- Mattie Irene Ellison, 96, died Friday in a local
hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Aspermont First Baptist
Church with the Rev. Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will be
in Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ellison worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of First
Baptist Church and was the widow of Brooks Ellison, whom she married
in 1935 in Anson.
Survivors include one son, Delmon Ellison of Seagraves; one
daughter, Lorene Cox of Groves; 14 grandchildren; and many great
grandchildren.
Everett Hallford
Everett Hallford, 61, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Services
are pending with North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Clifford Parker
Clifford Parker, 71, died Friday at his home. Services are
pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Erma Martinez
GOLDTHWAITE -- Erma H. Martinez, 64, died Friday in a Lubbock
hospital. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic
Church, directed by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
Nanny Margaret Smith
CISCO -- Nanny Margaret Smith, 50, died Thursday in an Abilene
hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Kimbrough Funeral
Home Chapel.
Charles Riley Rogers
STEPHENVILLE -- Charles Riley Rogers, 83, died Thursday in
Stephenville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lacy Funeral
Home Chapel.
