Bob Allen Robbins
Bob Allen Robbins, 39, of Abilene died Saturday at a local
hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in City Cemetery
with Sherry Lyle officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral
Home, 1443 N. 2nd.
Mr. Robbins was born in Anson and had worked for Texas Instruments
and for Budget Rent-a-Car at Abilene Regional Airport. He was
a member of First Gospel Assembly Church, where he was a deacon
and secretary/treasurer.
Survivors include three daughters, SueAllen Robbins and Katrina
Robbins, both of Abilene, and April Robbins of Levelland; one
stepson, Shawn Garza of Abilene; and his mother, Hazel Perry Robbins
of Abilene.
Rosey Lee Henderson
Rosey Lee Henderson, 77, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Allen-Korzenewski Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will
be in Tye Cemetery.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Texas and moved to Abilene from
Anson in 1980. She earlier lived in Paducah. She was a cook and
a Baptist. She married Weldon John Henderson in 1940 in Greenville.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Johnny
Lee Henderson of Abilene; one daughter, Rachael Lee Votaw of Tye;
11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Tye or Paducah cemetery funds.
Dolores Valdez Gaytan
Dolores Valdez Gaytan, 84, of Abilene died Friday at her home.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Church
with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood
Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Gaytan was born in Rockdale and moved to Abilene from
Cameron in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis
Catholic Church. She married Sipriano Gaytan in 1970 in Lubbock;
he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three brothers, Jose Valdez, Manuel Valdez
and Leon Valdez, all of Abilene; two sisters, Maria Valdez and
Juanita Valdez, both of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Carl 'Minnie' Greer
BANGS - Mrs. Carl "Minnie" Greer, 95, of Bangs died
Saturday at a Coleman hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bangs Cemetery
with the Rev. Jimmy Allen and Dr. Ray Ellis officiating, directed
by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Mrs. Greer was born in Ellijay, Ga., and had lived in Bangs
since 1934. She attended Henderson State University and was a
homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Rebekah Lodge
and Garden Club. She was the widow of Carl Greer.
Survivors include two nieces, including, Mrs. Ray Ellis of
Abilene, and several great-nieces and -nephews.
Shirley Brown
OLD GLORY - Shirley Brown, 50, died Saturday at an Abilene
hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Stamford Cemetery
with the Rev. Matt Harrington officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral
Home of Aspermont.
Mrs. Brown was born in Taylor County and attended school in
Weatherford. She married Paul Brown in 1976 in Everman.
Survivors include her husband, of Old Glory; two brothers,
Donald Knight of Everman and Willis Lee Knight of North Richland
Hills; and four nieces and nephews.
Howard Galloway
KINGSLAND - Howard Galloway, 83, died Wednesday in Kingsland.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Aspermont Cemetery
with the Rev. Barry Taylor, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Galloway was born in Stonewall County and was a member
of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one stepson, of Florida; three brothers,
Victor Galloway, Zearl Galloway and Dero Galloway, all of Aspermont;
one sister, Thelma Stewart of Lubbock; and numerous cousins.
Jack Cooper
ROCKWOOD - Jack Cooper, 86, died Saturday at a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rockwood Baptist Church
with the Revs. Jeff Dean and Raymond Jones officiating. Burial
will be in Rockwood Cemetery, directed by Henderson Funeral Home
of Santa Anna.
Mr. Cooper was born in Whon and graduated from Whon Schools
in 1929. He lived in Rockwood all his life and was a member of
Rockwood Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II
and a 52-year member of Santa Anna Masonic Mountain Lodge 661.
He was a mechanic and a stock farmer. He married Fannie Faye Stewart
in 1937 in San Angelo.
Survivors include his wife, of Rockwood; two daughters, Beth
Sheffield and Quincy Allen, both of Temple; two sisters, Louise
Davis of Snyder and Veva Bolton of Odessa; one brother, Elec Cooper
of Rockwood; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Elsie Yeates
STEPHENVILLE - Elsie Yeates, 88, died Sunday at a local nursing
home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in West End
Cemetery, directed by Stephenville Funeral Home. The family will
be at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.
Esta Mae Rogers
BIG SPRING - Esta Mae Rogers, 80, died Saturday. Services will
be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home
Rosewood Chapel.
Jasper Atkins
BIG SPRING - Jasper W. Atkins, 89, died Sunday at a local nursing
home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nalley-Pickle &
Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel.
Marvin Wayne Dupre
Marvin Wayne Dupre, 43, of Abilene died Saturday at his home.
Services are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Jesse Duke
BIG SPRING - Jesse Duke, 74, of Blackwell died Sunday in Bronte.
