Conrad Bullock
Conrad G. Bullock, 82, died Monday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Elmwood Memorial
Park with the Rev. Mike Woodard officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil
Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mr. Bullock was born in Merkel and earned a teaching certificate
from Hardin-Simmons University. He served with the U.S. Army's
101st Airborne Division in the European Theater. He participated
in the Battle of Bastogne in Belgium and saw combat in southern
France and Germany. He received a European Theater Ribbon with
four battle stars, Presidential Citation, Belgium Croix de Guerre
Good Conduct Ribbon, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. He
was principal of the Denton Valley School. He later worked for
the Texas Department of Health for 15 years and in the dietary
department at Hendrick Medical Center before retiring. He was
a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church and was the widower
of Ruby Flora Harbin Bullock, whom he married in 1941.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy McGaughey of Brazoria
and Judy Boone of Abilene; one sister, Johnnie Dickson of Abilene;
four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Ira Miles 'Top' Lambert
Ira Miles "Top" Lambert, 84, general contractor for
more than 30 years, died Tuesday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in University Church of
Christ with Eddie Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery,
directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mr. Lambert was born in Lueders and moved to Abilene as a child.
He attended Abilene High School and Abilene Christian University.
He married Gay Nell Schulze in 1938 in Big Spring and was a member
of Abilene High School Eagle Booster Club, ACU Letterman's Club
and University Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three daughters, Gayla
Pearson of Ruidoso, N.M., Glo Hays of Tahoka and Jackie Goen of
Seminole; one son, Stan Lambert of Abilene; one sister, June Nelson
of Augusta, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Janice Bannon
Janice Bannon, 84, died Tuesday.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Elmwood Memorial
Park with Alfred Gadberry and C.D. Hood officiating, directed
by Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 U.S. Hwy 277 South.
Mrs. Bannon was born in Fairly and attended school in Tell.
She moved to Abilene in 1948 from Childress and worked in retail
for 10 years for J.C. Penney. She also was a homemaker. She was
a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ and was the widow of Leroy
Bannon, whom she married in 1945 in Childress.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Strickland and Diane
Miller, both of Abilene; two sons, Ronald Tate of Abilene and
Gary Tate of Elephant Butte, N.M.; one brother, Loren Cato of
Guadalajara, Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cleaborn Bay 'Be Bo' Watson
COLEMAN - Cleaborn Bay "Be Bo" Watson, 20, died Sunday
in Coleman.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Walker Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Watson was born in Abilene and moved to Coleman in 1994.
He worked for Dry Manufacturing and was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Charlie Pickett of Abilene; his
parents, Stanley Watson and Sandy Watson, both of Coleman; his
stepmother, Ninni Watson of Coleman; one sister, Amy Ash of Abilene;
one stepsister, Tammy Scott of Coleman; one brother, Tony Watson
of Coleman; and his grandmothers, Mary J. Watson of Coleman and
Omie Slate of Santa Anna.
Mark Barry Keagy
DALLAS - Mark Barry Keagy, 44, formerly of Abilene, died Saturday.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cedar Hill
Cemetery in Abilene, directed by Troy Suggs Funeral Home.
Mr. Keagy was born in Waco and was a self-employed air conditioning
electrician.
Survivors include one son, Matthew Benjamin Keagy; one stepdaughter,
Candice Rodriguez; one stepson, Julian Rodriguez; and one sister,
Tina Keagy Jansen.
John Cross
COLEMAN - John A. Cross, 71, of Houston and formerly of Coleman,
died Monday in a Houston hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Coleman Cemetery
with the Rev. Daniel Pitts officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral
Home.
Mr. Cross was born in Coleman, where he attended school, and
served with the U.S. Navy. He moved to Houston in 1947 and retired
from Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad. He returned to Coleman
in 1985 and moved to Humble in 1993. He was a member of North
Houston Morning Masonic Lodge 1360 and American Legion Post 308
in Bangs. He was a Baptist and was the widower of Betty Jo Moore
Cross, whom he married in 1947 in Coleman.
Survivors include one son, Charles Cross of College Station;
two brothers, Wayne Cross of Houston and Kelly Cross of Abilene;
and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society or Masonic
Home in Fort Worth.
Emilie Howsley
THROCKMORTON - Emilie Howsley, 76, died Sunday in a local hospital.
The body was cremated. A memorial graveside service will be
at 3 p.m. Thursday in Throckmorton Cemetery with the Rev. Ava
Berry officiating, directed by Merriman-Archer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howsley was born in Flensbury, Germany, and moved to Amarillo
in 1953 from Germany. She married David Howsley in 1981 in Fort
Worth. She was a homemaker and moved to Throckmorton in 1984 from
Fort Worth. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, of Throckmorton; one daughter,
Annegret Mondey of Arlington; one son, Werner Foerster of Colorado
Springs, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Angela Bell of Grapevine; two
stepsons, Matt Howsley of Purcell, Okla., and Paul Howsley of
Breckenridge; one brother, Bernardt Hans of Sidney, Australia;
two sisters, Elfrede Gerauch of Kail, Germany, and Marichen Bohnsack
of Flensburg, Germany; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mary Jo Emison Longley
BROWNWOOD - Mary Jo Emison Longley, 77, of Dallas and formerly
of Brownwood, died Sunday at her home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenleaf
Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home. A memorial service
will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Sudie George Chapel of First Presbyterian
Church in Dallas.
Mrs. Longley was born in Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood
High School and Daniel Baker College. She moved to Dallas in 1957.
She was a volunteer at Grace Presbyterian Village in Oak Cliff.
She was a member of Texas Dental Association's Women's Auxiliary,
Calypso Club and First Presbyterian Church in Dallas and was the
widow of Dr. D.K. "Hawk" Longley.
Survivors include one son, Ken Longley of Fort Worth; three
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Weldon 'Buster' Coats
MERKEL - Weldon W. "Buster" Coats, 87, of Franklin,
Tenn., and formerly of Merkel, died Monday in Columbia, Tenn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Williamson Memorial Funeral
Home Chapel in Franklin, Tenn. with Drs. Cal Cooper and Ivan Raley
officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in
Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Coats was born in Merkel and was a self-employed well driller.
He moved to Franklin, Tenn. in 1992. He attended Grassland Heights
Baptist Church in Franklin, Tenn., and was the widower of Catherine
M. Coats, whom he married in 1937.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Coats of Franklin, Tenn.;
two stepdaughters, Dorris Crawford of Texas and Leta Mae Barbee
of Branson, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Grassland Heights Baptist Church in
Franklin, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday in Starbuck
Funeral Home.

COLORADO CITY - Ramon Heredia, 57, of Odessa and formerly of
Colorado City, died Tuesday in a Big Spring hospital. Services

MUNDAY - Lee Norman, 96, died Tuesday in a Haskell hospital.

Henry Ortega
BIG SPRING - Henry M. Ortega, 65, died Monday in a local hospital.

Earl Dale Dupree
DUBLIN - Earl Dale Dupree, 72, died Tuesday at his home. Services

M.Y. Butler
BIG SPRING - M.Y. Butler, 89, of Odessa and formerly of Big
Spring, died Monday in an Odessa hospital. Graveside services
will be at 2 p.m. today in Trinity Memorial Park, directed by
Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Monroe Cleavern Roberts
WOODSON - Monroe Cleavern Roberts, 87, died Sunday in a Wichita
Falls care center. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today

Bob Spence
COAHOMA - Bob Spence, 94, died Tuesday in a Big Spring hospital
after a long illness. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today
in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, directed by Myers & Smith
Funeral Home of Big Spring.
