Russell Atchley
NOVICE -- Russell Atchley, 70, died Thursday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Crews Cemetery.
Mr. Atchley was born in Talpa and moved to Novice at age 2.
He graduated from Novice High School and served with the U.S.
Army's 45th Infantry Division in Korea. He married Elda Fae McDaniel
in 1955 in Crews. He worked for Phillips Petroleum as a field
operator from 1953 until retiring in 1988. He moved to Andrews
in 1956 and returned to Novice in 1992. He was a member of American
Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, of Novice; one son, Russell Eugene
Atchley of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one daughter, Carolyn Fae Atchley
of Lubbock; his mother, Frankie E. Atchley of Coleman; two brothers,
R.C. Atchley of Coleman and Wayne Atchley of Abilene; and two
grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Imadell Ezzell
EASTLAND -- Imadell Ezzell, 90, of Lockney and formerly of
Eastland County, died Friday in Lockney.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, south of Gorman.
Mrs. Ezzell was born in Waldron, Ark., and later moved to Gorman.
She operated a labor camp. She was a member of First Baptist Church
and was the widow of Melvin Ezzell, whom she married in Rising
Star.
Survivors include one sister, Lillie Mae Warren of Eastland;
and one sister-in-law, Alpha May Andry of Gorman.
Lenn Reeves
SWEETWATER -- Lenn Reeves, 48, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sweetwater First Baptist
Church with Dr. Joel McCoy and the Rev. Malcolm Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery, directed by Cate-Spencer
& Trent Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Crosbyton and married Donny Reeves
in 1968 in Sweetwater. She was a homemaker. She was a member of
Extension Homemakers Club and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Sweetwater; two sons, Carl
Reeves and Adam Reeves, both of Sweetwater; her parents, Glenn
and Geneva Hahn of Sweetwater; one brother, Bob Hahn of Sweetwater;
one sister, Carol Ellison of Sweetwater; and several nieces and
nephews.

Opal Lucille Bennett
EASTLAND -- Opal Lucille Bennett, 89, of Garland and formerly
of Eastland, died Monday in Garland.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Gorman Cemetery
with the Rev. Craig Rhoton officiating, directed by Edwards Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Springfield, Ill., and worked as a
press operator in the dry cleaning business for many years. She
was the widow of Aubrey A. Bennett, whom she married in Gorman.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Golob of Vancouver, British
Columbia; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Laura Ercel Stewart
ALBANY -- Laura Ercel Stewart, 99, died Friday in an Abilene
hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Albany First Baptist
Church with the Revs. John Tunnell and Don Clevenger officiating.
Burial will be in Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey-Neese Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Bosque County and was a homemaker.
She was a 50-year member of Chapter 733, Order of the Eastern
Star. She also was a member of First Baptist Church and was the
widow of Lonnie Sanders and Milton Stewart.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Lieb of Albany; and five
stepsons, Herman Stewart of Fort Worth, Cecil Stewart of Rio Rancho,
N.M., Joe Stewart of Albany, John D. Stewart of Mangum, Okla.,
and James F. Stewart of Balch Springs.
Joe Morgan
ROBY -- Joe C. Morgan, 91, lifelong Fisher County resident,
died Friday in a Rotan hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Roby First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Mickey Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Roby
Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mr. Morgan was born in Merkel and worked for the Texas Department
of Transportation. He also was a farmer. He was a member of First
Baptist Church and was the widower of Iva Hyer Morgan, whom he
married in 1928 in Roby.
Survivors include one son, James Clinton Morgan of Cuero; two
daughters, Patsy Steadham of Throckmorton and Peggy Anderson of
Roby; four sisters, Hallie Price of Tulane, Calif., Lora Cox of
Chula Vista, Calif., Lola Nash of Rotan and Louella Flynn of Boerne;
one brother, Woodrow Morgan of San Antonio; six grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Barbara McDonald
Barbara McDonald, 77, died Friday in De Soto. Services are
pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mary Courtney
COLEMAN -- Mary Courtney, 80, died Friday in a local hospital.
Services are pending with Stevens Funeral Home.
Ruby Bell Schoonover Simpson
COLEMAN -- Ruby Bell Schoonover Simpson, 88, died Friday in
a Brownwood care center. Services are pending with Stevens Funeral
Home.
Idella Farrar Adams
STEPHENVILLE -- Idella Farrar Adams, 84, died Friday in a Dublin
nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Stephenville
Funeral Home Chapel.
Efrain Sanchez Lara
SWEETWATER -- Efrain Sanchez Lara, 41, died Thursday at his
home. The body was cremated and a memorial service will be at
a later date. Arrangements were made by McCoy Funeral Home.
