The wrath of El Nino
It seems a bit early to ask the perennial question, but is it hot enough for you?
True, it hasn't topped 100 degrees yet. But temperatures above 95 in early May aren't exactly normal. And this week promises more of the same, along with a March-like wind.
Should we blame it on El Nino? That weather phenomenon, which kept our winter moderate, is being blamed for everything from a rattlesnake investation in Southern California to increased illegal alien traffic to ditzy behavior in Washington, and so we might as well. We could call it the Spring That Fried Abilene.
Just wait for July and August.
