Southwest awards

Congratulations to the City of Abilene Housing Authority for winning three awards from the Southwest National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Genette Edmond, Family Self-Sufficiency/Tenant Services coordinator, was honored for meritorious accomplishment by an individual employee. Helen Marshall won the award for accomplishments by a Family Self-Sufficiency participant. And Tears Collett, president of the Vogel Tenants Association, won for achievement by a resident. Local housing authority executive director Roberta Thompson and the three winners will receive their awards at the Southwest NAHRO's annual conference June 17 in Little Rock
