The ties that bind

If Hillary Clinton doesn't flush them down the White House toilet first, those six ties Monica Lewinsky gave President Clinton will make great items at a charity auction.

In any event, they are not going to linger on the presidential tie rack much longer, not after Clinton had the bad judgment or bad luck to wear one of the gift ties at a Rose Garden ceremony only three weeks ago. Thanks to its notoriety, the diamond-patterned gold and blue silk Zegna tie has become a sought-after Washington fashion item.

After this scandal is over, Lewinsky will be looking for employment. She might consider coming out with her own line of ties. She's already shown she has a flair for decorating necks, having just draped a noose around the president's.
