Just for letter writers

Readers are encouraged to participate in the public forum of the Opinion Page by submitting letters to the editor. Letters must be signed and include the writer's address and phone number. Please type or print legibly and keep letters to 250 words or less. Less is often better. Letters may be edited for taste, clarity or length.

E-mail letters to the editor should be sent to letter@abinews.com. E-mail letters must also include the writer's street address and phone number and be 250 words or less.

For the Sunday Readers' Forum page, the Abilene Reporter-News accepts guest columns of about 600-700 words on a variety of topics.
