Area-wide worship assembly Sunday in Hamlin

HAMLIN -- The Church of Christ will host an area-wide worship assembly Sunday in the Hamlin High School auditorium.

The Burl McCoy Family of Merkel will sing at 5:30 p.m., to be followed at 6 by a congregational singing led by area song leaders.

Richard Rogers of the Sunset International Bible Institute will speak.

Clyde

The Singing Flannegans will perform in concert at 10 a.m. and preach at 11 Sunday at Bible Baptist Church.

Eula

A Game Night begins at 7 p.m. today at Eula United Methodist Church.

Sweetwater

A retreat featuring the Rev. Joe Nassal of Easton, Kan. will take place Friday through Feb. 7 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Nassal is director of the Shantivaum Retreat Center.

Talks will be given at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. He will conclude with a Mass at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Those wishing to eat lunch with Nassal on Saturday will need to bring their own.

The theme is "The Church in the 21st Century: Making Connections for the New Millenium".

Topics are "Who Do You Say That I Am?" "Who Do We Say We Are?" "What Must I Do to Inherit Everlasting Life?" and "Where Do We Go From Here?"
