Boys to present concert next Friday in Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE -- The Florida Boys will perform in concert at
7:30 p.m. Friday in the Breckenridge High School Auditorium.
Tickets are $5 in advance and, if available, $8 at the door.
Advance tickets may be purchased at Songs & Psalms in Cisco;
Breck Auto or His Way Bookstore, both in Breckenridge; Good News
Bookstore, Abilene; K&K Motors or A Little Bit of Heaven,
both in Graham; Throckmorton Tribune, Throckmorton; and Eastco
Fuel, Gorman.
The concert is sponsored by Word of Life Ministries.
Coleman
The Rev. Hamp Linehan of Whitewright has been called as the
new pastor of First Baptist Church.
The pastor of Whitewright First Baptist Church, he and his
wife, Cathy, and their family will move to Coleman in about three
weeks.
Linehan is a graduate of the University of North Texas and
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
He replaces the Rev. Gary Boyd, who retired last June.
Coleman County
The Coleman Baptist Association will meet Tuesday at Valera
Baptist Church.
The executive board and Women's Missionary Union will gather
at 6 p.m., with dinner being served at 6:30.
A program on prayer ministry begins at 7:15 p.m.
Merkel
A candlelight prayer vigil marking the 25th anniversary of
the U.S. Supreme Court's decision regarding Roe vs. Wade will
begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at City Hall.
It is sponsored by the Merkel Pastors' Association.
Runnels County
The Runnels Baptist Association will meet Monday at Paint Rock
First Baptist Church.
The executive board and Women's Missionary Union will gather
at 5:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 6:15.
A worship program begins at 7 p.m.
Throckmorton
First Baptist Church will have a men's prayer breakfast at
8 a.m. Sunday.
Tuscola
DivorceCare, a weekly seminar and support group for people
who are separated or divorced, will meet on Wednesdays from 7-9
p.m. at Elm Valley Community Church, beginning Wednesday.
Cost is $5 for the workbook. Childcare will be provided.
