Moments of Grace
It has been said that God's grace is an event or happening
that supersedes the laws of nature or natural law if you will.
It happened to me in this way: I had been perusing the auction
section of the classified ads when I read that an old hand-carved
artist's easel was to be up for bid at an auction.
My daughter Kathy, who lives in Midland, had mentioned about
six months earlier that she would like to start painting again
but needed an easel and was considering buying one.
Now the price for a new one is around $200. I called her after
reading about the one at the auction and told her about it.
She said, "That's intersting, Mom, because I have been
thinking about one all week and considering where I could find
one in my price range."
I did go to that auction and bid on and bought the easel for
$50. I think God intervened in our lives in this way, through
thought processes that ultimately turned into action in getting
the best possible easel for a good price.
