Bank acquisition complete
SWEETWATER - Texas National Bank of Sweetwater has completed
its acquisition of the Sweetwater branch of State National Bank
of West Texas in Lubbock.
All customers of State National in Sweetwater are now customers
of Texas National Bank, said TNB president Bill Johnson.
"The customers and staff of the Sweetwater branch of State
National Bank of West Texas have been through quite of bit of
change lately. We want to assure them this is not simply another
change, but rather the final transition of this financial institution
into a locally owned bank that intendes to call Sweetwater home
for a long time to come," he said.
Johnson said he expects to phase out the lobby service at the
former State National sometime this summer, but full service will
continue at both locations until then. All employees of the bank
have agreed to stay on, he said.
The acquisition brings Texas National's assets to approximately
$65 million. Texas National is an independent, locally owned and
managed bank, chartered in 1995.
