FFB Merger Completed

First Financial Bankshares Inc. of Abilene has completed its merger with a bank and bank holding company in Southlake.

Texas National Bank of Southlake and its parent, Southlake Bancshares Inc., are now apart of First Financial Bankshares.

The stock exchange agreement, initiated last August, turns over the north Tarrant County bank, its $55 million in assets and its full-service branch near the Trophy Club.

Kenneth T. Murphy, chairman and CEO of First Financial Bankshares, said the new bank has an impressive growth record. It will continue to operate under its current directors and management.

First Financial Bankshares has assets of almost $1.5 billion and shareholders' equity of $140 million. Its banks include First National Bank of Abilene, First National Bank in Cleburne, Eastland National Bank, Hereford State Bank, San Angelo National Bank, Stephenville Bank and Trust, First National Bank in Sweetwater and Weatherford National Bank.
