Friday is the deadline to register for activities of the 64th annual meeting of the West Central Texas Oil & Gas Association.

Members of the oil and gas independents group meet Sunday and Monday. More than 200 people are expected to attend, said Morris Burns, executive vice president of WeCTOGA.

The opening reception is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Abilene Civic Center. Breakfast will be Monday morning at the Petroleum Club, followed by a membership meeting.

The keynote luncheon will be at noon Monday at the Civic Center. Guest speaker will be Charles Matthews, chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission.

Another feature will be the second annual trade show, featuring 11 exhibit booths on display both days in the foyer of the Civic Center.
