Bird calls maybe
By Doug Williamson / Abilene Reporter-News
Abilene listeners will hear a new radio station today.
Owners of KEAN FM and AM will kick off programming on KROW
FM, 92.5, at 6 p.m.
The station has been broadcasting some strange Halloween ÒstuffÓ
the last couple of days. Tim Kelly, who will be the production
manager and morning DJ, said the programming you hear before 6
p.m. today is not typical of the station's format.
Station personnel refused to reveal what format KROW will have.
I assume they fear other stations will change their musical programming
this morning to better compete. Maybe it will be bird calls.
Kelly said programming will be live from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
At other times, it will be computer generated.
