WTU's Teeter honored as engineer of year
David L. Teeter of West Texas Utilities was honored Thursday
as Outstanding Engineer of the Year.
Teeter was recognized by the Abilene Chapter of the Texas Society
of Professional Engineers at the Petroleum Club.
The dinner was held in conjunction with National Engineers
Week.
Teeter is director of transmission and distribution operations
at WTU, which he joined in 1976 after receiving his electrical
engineering degree from the University of Texas. Before that he
attended Southwest Texas State University.
He is a registered professional engineer and has studied courses
and programs at Texas A&M University and the University of
Michigan.
Teeter's experience also includes serving as a radioman second
class in the U.S. Navy and employment as a police communications
operator for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
