Annual bull, quarter horse sale Oct. 8

Ranchers from throughout the nation and foreign lands are expected
for the R.A. Brown Ranch 23rd Annual Bull and Quarter Horse Sale
at 11 a.m. Oct. 8.
The sale will be staged at the ranch headquarters four miles
west of Throckmorton on U.S. Highway 380 and one mile north of
the ranch sign on County Road 112. It will offer 400 bulls, 29
horses and 24 bred heifers.
These are breeding-age bulls that are ranch raised and performance
tested. Internationally renowned auctioneer Ruben Reyes of San
Antonio will be on hand along with Greg Clifton, veteran auctioneer
from Fort Worth.
The Moorhouse Ranch, Texas Tech University, and Gary Warner
will have guest consignments on quarter horses at the sale. Bird
dog puppies and cow dog puppies will be sold to benefit the West
Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene.
These dogs are trained by Chris and Christine Timmons at Wind
Walker Kennels at Throckmorton.
Meanwhile, the bull offering will offer Red Angus, Angus, commercial
Angus, Simmental, SimAngus, Simbrah, Hotlander, Senegus, Senepol
and three-fourths Senepol bulls.
