First State Bank of Abilene has named a manager and an assistant
manager for its branch in Albertson's, 4450 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Danielle Baker will be branch manager. She is a native of Andrews
and attended Texas Tech University and is a senior finance major
at McMurry University. She began her career at First State in
1991.
Elaine DesBoine, a native of Windsor, N.C., has six years of
banking experience.

The Carlson Wagonlit Travel office in the Mall of Abilene was
named the Travel Agents International Franchisee of the Year.
The agency, owned and operated by Joe and Susan Crowder, was
known as Travel Agents International before Carlson Leisure Group
acquired TAI.
The Abilene agency was one of two TAI franchisees recognized
by Carlson for "illustrating exceptional business practices,
having a strong commitment to the franchise network, providing
superior customer service, developing strong employee teams and
for proudly and enthusiastically promoting the TAI brand name
in its community."

the network," said Joe Crowder. "Looking forward, the

Johnny Zuniga has been promoted to associate manager of the
Abilene office of American General Life and Accident Insurance
Co., 500 Chestnut, Suite 801.
He began his career with the company earlier this year.
