Letters to the Religion Editor
Dear Editor:
Saturday's (Oct. 4) article "Contemporary music strikes
sour note with some church members" in the religion section
caught my attention.
Some years back I was having lunch with Dr. B.R. Lakin, a knowledgeable
man of God's Word. He said, "seminaries today are producing
preachers as fast as meat producers produce weiners, and both
of full of the same stuff."
In the Bible leaven is representative of SIN in all instances.
This is biblical knowledge, not theology.
Genuine believers have tired of "Gerbers" and are
desiring "meat to eat."

Dear Editor:
In reference to Rev. (Dale) Suel's comments in the <I>Abilene
Reporter-News<I> religion section (Oct. 4) concerning worship
style: No, we "builders" don't want our "memories
STROKED." We just want our soul's fire STOKED."
