"Walking" to know outpouring of love
Dear Editor:
I am writing this as a special thank you to many very special
people, a very special group, and a very special savior.
I am a Christian and I have often heard of God's love for each
of us, but I really didn't have a clue as to how much He loved
me. Going on the Walk to Emmaus #51 gave me a little taste of
it.
I packed up and was driven 30 miles to Camp Butman, which was
to be my home for the next 72 hours. I had no idea where this
camp was or what was going to happen to me.
I was worried, wondering, "Did I pack the right clothes
to wear? Were we going to get enough to eat? What would be there
for us to drink?" (15 cases of water). I was not at all prepared
for what was about to happen.
What an outpouring, and I mean outpouring of love was shown
to me, ME, by thousands of people who didn't even know me. I had
nothing to worry about that Thursday evening as I packed because
the Father who feeds the birds, and clothes the fields saw to
it that those needs and others so much more important were met
and then some!
Thank you team members of Walk #51, Big Country Emmaus Community
and all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I will serve the Lord.
De Colores.
