Marriage Ministries presents session for stronger
unions

"Marriage: How's Yours Doing?" will be presented
by Marriage Ministries International at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the
First United Methodist Church Education Building, 1318 S. 2nd.
The session will focus on how good marriages can become even better,
impossible marriages can be healed and stale marriages can become
stronger.
Marriage Ministry International is a non-denominational ministry
dedicated to teaching God's blueprint for marriage to all ages.
The group is active in more than 73 countries in the world.

TALES WITH A TWIST
First Central Presbyterian Church, 400 Orange, will feature
Dr. Howard Edington as special speaker in a Fall Festival of Faith,
Sept. 21-22. "Tales with a Twist" is the theme of sessions
that will be held at the church:
Times are 8:30 and 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 21 and 11:45 a.m.
and 7 p.m. Sept. 22. Edington is pastor of the 5,000 member First
Presbyterian Church of Orlando, Fla.
A box lunch will be served at the Sept. 22 midday session.

SCHEDULE OF SERVICES
Heritage Baptist Church, 3050 Buffalo Gap Rd., is now offering
a two morning service format. The schedule will be as follows:
- Early service at 8:30 a.m.
- Sunday School/Bible Study at 9:45 a.m.
- Second service at 10:50 a.m.
- Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

SIGN LANGUAGE COURSE
Baker Heights Church of Christ, 5385 Texas Ave., will have
a reorganizational meeting for those who want to learn sign language
at 5 p.m. Sunday.
COLLEGE/CAREER CLASS FORMS
A new college-career class will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at
North Side Baptist Church, 2474 Westwood. Featured will be a video
series by Dr. Kent Hovind and his Creation Seminar.
CPR CLASS OFFERED
First Christian Church, 1420 N. 3rd, will offer an Adult CPR
class on Sunday. The class will be led by Russ Brown of the American
Red Cross. Participants will be expertly trained in CPR, will
receive an excellent reference book that includes CPR in infants
and children and standard first aid and will be able to become

DIVORCECARE
DivorceCare, a special weekly seminar and support group for
people who are separated or divorced, will be presented by Pioneer
Drive Baptist Church. Seminars will be from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays
beginning Sept. 16. Call 692-7222 for reservations and more information.

FALL REVIVAL
Beltway Park Baptist Church, 4009 Beltway South, will present
a fall revival Sunday through Wednesday. Jon Randles and Jeff
Berry will be special guests. Focus of the revival will be the
many myths the world has taught about God, about yourself, about
life that are not true. The special four-day series will explore
the teachings of Jesus Christ and explode the world's myths. Sessions
will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday
through Wednesday. The Wednesday night session will be held at
Radford Auditorium on the McMurry University campus.
DEAD SEA SCROLLS SESSION
Wednesday evening at 6:30, Bill Libby from McMurry University
will speak on the Dead Sea Scrolls at First Central Presbyterian
Church. Dinner begins at 5:45 p.m. Call 677-3501 for reservations.
The church is located at 400 Orange. 12 STEP SPIRITUALITY
Pat Huber, a licensed counselor, will begin a 12 Step course
in spirituality Sunday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 3150 Vogel.
The spiritual development course will be offered one Sunday
each month. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Child
care will be provided. 9TH ANNUAL BIBLE LECTURESHIP
The 5th and Grape Street Church of Christ will host the ninth
annual Bible Lectureship "Truth Under Fire" Friday through
Sunday, Sept. 19-21.
Lectures will be at 7 and 8:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday
services will be at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Guest speakers are H.A. "Buster" Dobbs, Perry Cotham,
Johnny Ramsey, Ken Hope, Don Hatch, Perry Hall and Dave Miller.
Mary Martini of Southlake will speak to the women on "They
Shall Know That I am the Lord" at 5 p.m. Sunday.

GOSPEL MEETING
A gospel meeting will be held at the S. 7th and Locust Church
of Christ Friday through Sunday, Sept. 19-21.
Dell Young from Valliant, Okla., will do the preaching. Service
times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Sunday.
A group singing will be held from 3-4 p.m. Sunday. WEIGH DOWN
WORKSHOP
Is food more than fuel for you? If so, you might want to consider
attending a Weigh Down workshop to be held at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, 837 Jeanette. Orientation sessions will be held at 7 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 18 and 25.
The program will start on Oct. 2. Weigh Down, a biblically
based workshop for people with eating concerns, will be held for
12 weeks in the Nelson building behind the church.
Cost is $103 for all materials and instruction. Call Pam Miller

HSU CAMPUS REVIVAL
John W. Hall, pastor of First Baptist Church in Munday, will
be featured speaker during Hardin-Simmons University's campus
revival Tuesday through Thursday.
Hall, a 1989 graduate of HSU, will speak at five services during
the three-day period. Talks will be held each day at Behrens Chapel
at 9:30 a.m. On Tuesday and Wednesday, he will speak at 7 p.m.
at Logsdon Chapel.
During his years at HSU, Hall served as youth ministry intern
at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, where he was ordained to the
ministry in 1990.
Music minister will be Fred McNab of Pioneer Drive Baptist
Church. McNab earned a bachelor of music degree from Hardin-Simmons.
FAMILY MISSIONS DAY
Family Missions Day will be held today at Immanuel Baptist
Church, 1241 Cypress.
A meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. and a program will be held
from 7:15-8:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Joy Fenner with the
Woman's Missionary Union of Texas.
BELTWAY PARK REVIVAL
Jon Randles and Jeff Berry will lead a revival at Beltway Park
Baptist Church, 4009 Beltway South, Sunday through Wednesday.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. on
Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the revival will move to Radford Auditorium on
the campus of McMurry University for a youth revival. All young
people are invited. Randles is from Lubbock and does evangelism
across the country.
Berry is the music leader for Grace Ministry and leads youth
camps.
