"God's Authentic Woman: Celebrating the Abundant Life"
will be held at Beltway Park Baptist Church, 4009 Beltway South,
from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.
Mary Stedham, licensed professional counselor and marriage
and family therapist, will be the featured speaker. Lunch will
be served and will cost $5. Childcare will be provided.

INTERFAITH JOURNEY
The origins and basic tenets of Buddhism will be presented
Wednesday as an Interfaith Journey continues at the Episcopal
Church of the Heavenly Rest, 602 Meander.
The session, led by the Rev. Roz Thomas, begins at 6:45 p.m.
in the parish hall. A potluck supper will be served at 6.
The 10-week seminar will conclude Nov. 19 with a final session
on Buddhism.
15TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
New Fellowship Baptist Church, 1142 Tracy Lynn, will celebrate
its 15th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. James W. Hanson, Rose of Sharon B.C. of Odessa, will
bring the message.
MT. ZION CELEBRATION
The public is invited to the celebration of the 112th anniversary
of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 520 State, at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Will Logan, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, will
be guest speaker.
SPAGHETTI SUPPER
Holy Family Catholic Church will host a home cooked spaghetti
dinner immediately following the 5:30 p.m. Mass today. Cost will
be $3 for adults and $1.50 for children. The church is located
at 5410 Buffalo Gap Rd.
SPECIAL SPEAKER
Dr. Thomas Brisco will preach in all three of the morning services
Sunday at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 701 S. Pioneer Dr.
Brisco is associate professor of biblical backgrounds and archaeology
and associate dean for special masters degrees at Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE
Dr. Robert Barnes, professor of psychology at Hardin-Simmons
University, will be guest speaker at the noon luncheon of the
Abilene Ministerial Alliance Thursday.
The meeting will be in the community room of the Hendrick Center
for Rehabilitation.
Barnes also is custodian of the Viktor Frankl papers and letters.
Frankl, who died in September in Vienna, Austria, developed a
type of psychotherapy known as logotherapy.
Lunch reservations must be made by Wednesday by calling 670-2256.
ALL CHURCH LOYALTY DINNER AND MEETING
First Christian Church will will have its All Church Loyalty
Dinner and Congregational Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in its
new Activity Center. The church is located at 1420 N. 3rd.
REVIVAL SERVICES
Ambler Baptist Church is holding revival services from Nov.
6-9.
Rene De Alejandro, pastor of Second Baptist, Robstown, will
be the evangelist. Rudy Castaneda, minister of music at Second
Baptist of San Angelo, will lead the music.
The church is located at 2150 Park.
SINGLES PRAISE
A singles praise service will be held beginning at 7 tonight
in the youth building of First United Methodist Church, South
Second and Butternut.
Child care will be provided. The evening includes singing praise
songs, a short devotional, and fellowship.
A praise band will provide music. All singles, regardless of
religious or denominational affiliation, are invited.
CRAFT AUCTION AND STEW SUPPER
Belmont Baptist Church, 2117 Palm, will have its annual craft
auction and supper at 5:30 tonight in the Fellowship Hall.
Cost for a stew supper is $2.50 per person. Dessert may be
purchased separately. The auction begins at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from this annual event go to the Lottie Moon Christmas
Offering for International Missions. PREP APPROACH
First Baptist Church's Ministry of Counseling and Enrichment,
1502 N. 1st, will sponsor "The PREP Approach" workshop
from 9:30 a.m.-noon today and 6 p.m. Sunday Nov. 9 and 16.
Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program is sponsored
for couples who are interested in learning how to communicate
effectively, work as a team to solve problems, manage conflicts
without damaging closeness and preserve and enhance commitment.
Tom and Lori Copeland will lead the free workshop.
