Church groups helping out are adding to the
day's activities
By LORETTA FULTON Senior Staff Writer
Church groups are joining others across town today in Make
a Difference Day projects ranging from collecting socks for nursing
homes to painting houses.
All youth groups participating in a project are invited to
St. Paul United Methodist Church's activities center, N. 5th and
Orange, for a dance a refreshments, said Chris England, youth
minister.
"It's a celebrating of doing good. Hopefully that will
inspire more kids to get involved next year," he said.
St. Paul's middle and high school students will spend part
of the day working on a Habitat for Humanity house at 1910 S.
5th. The youth have been involved with that project for sometime
and will do interior painting today, England said.
