session beginning Monday for a new Friend to Friend Care Team
Ministry.
Training will be in the multi-purpose room of Windcrest Alzheimer's
Care Center, 6050 Hospital Dr. behind Abilene Regional Medical

to individuals and families with special needs. Teams will remain

staff from area churches are invited to attend a continental breakfast
and an introductory presentation.
At 7 Monday evening, A Care Team orientation will be held for
congregational members who are interested in participating in
a Care Team. On Wednesday, an orientation will be conducted at
9 a.m. for those interested in serving as Care Team leaders or
co-leaders.

Harpist to perform
Greg Buchanan, a world-class harpist from California, will
perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Clyde.
Buchanan, who frequently conducts international worshops, began
playing the harp at age 9. As a young man he spent four years
in the United States Naval Band stationed in Washington, D.C.
He later experienced professional success in the music scene
of southern California but his personal life took a downward spiral
as he dealt with alcohol and drug addiction.
Buchanan attended a Christian concert with a friend and experienced
the grace of God. From then, Buchanan began his new career and
is now one of the most sought after Christian performers in America.
In concert Buchanan plays a harp with a Salzedo Art Deco design
and a Celtic folk harp as well as a lyre.
Admission to the concert is free but an offering will be taken.
Missions site
A site on the World Wide Web created by the Department of Missions
at Abilene Christian University contains missions information
from several continents.
"This site is envisioned as a place where elderships and
missions committees around the world can learn something about
missions from their own Internet connection at home," said
Bruce Terry, a missionary-in-residence at ACU.
The 700-page site contains information on mission principles,
anthropology, bibliographies on missions, statistics on mission
work and articles by faculty and staff.
It also contains links to other resources on the Internet.
