FORT WORTH - Senior catcher Jason Graham from Abilene had three hits and drove in five runs Tuesday as Hardin-Simmons University pounded Texas Wesleyan, 14-2, in a non-conference baseball game.

The Cowboys trailed 2-0 before exploding for 13 runs in the fourth inning. Seven of HSU's 16 hits in the game went extra bases, including two home runs and five doubles.

Graham had a homer, double and single. Leftfielder Clay Johnston was 4 for 5, including a home run, and knocked in a pair of runs. Ricky Ballard rapped two doubles and a single and drove in three runs for the Cowboys, who improved their record to 23-17 on the season.

Texas Wesleyan is now 19-22.

Jody Curry, making just his second start of the season, hurled his second straight complete game in getting the victory. Curry (2-1), allowed seven hits, walked four and struck out one in seven innings.

Hardin-Simmons will close out its regular season with a three-game American Southwest Conference series Friday and Saturday against Austin College in Sherman.
